Alan still have a lot of followers and we should be building bridges to the city of unity and not bridges to the city of Division. We lost the last election because we allowed our emotions to make decisions instead of our brains and it look like we did not learn our lessons.
We should make it easier for Alan to support Akuffo Addo if he lost. This attitude of some Akuffo supporters should be curtailed. Ashantis and Akyem coalition alone as seen by others cannot win the presidency.
Please, cut the insults out. Save it for the Ndc opponents, will you?

A couple of weeks ago also has a blow out with him when he tried to walk all over the Ghana female Chief Justice in Gambia who got sacked by Yahya Jammeh.

If NPP victory in the next Election is the prime goal for its members, then all its members and sympathizers must refrain from anything that hurts the Party's chances of winning.
Sometimes, we even have to project a conciliatory image to the opponent to catch him or her off-guard. All things being as they are now, the NPP has the people's goodwill in its favor. Resorting to unwarranted tactics that could only arouse the anger of any part of the independent electorate against the Party is unwise.
The other Parties in opposition must be courted to add their votes to those of NPP members to pull the feat off, not to antagonize them.
Many times I get driven to expose the porosity of his arguments, or his lousy facts, more by the negative effect I envisage his utterances could have on the efforts to make a positive change than sheer dislike for the man. In fact, I do not hate him at all. It is his way of spoiling the broth when it is almost cooked that gets to me, most. I hope he keeps off the trail to allow the natural change people desire happen, if he really shares their aspirations.
It seems he cannot see the salvation of Ghana in any other person in NPP but his uncle, Akufo Addo. So, he, hyper-sensitively, cannibalizes any NPP member that poses a challenge to Nana's dream of becoming the next President. What he fails to acknowledge is that there are many others in the Party that could do just as well as, if not better than, Nana. Akufo-Addo may have more popularity within the Party but much less so outside. If the Party still chooses him for the Flagbearer, it would take all the support it can muster from within to correct any outside misconceptions about him to win. If his camp draws a wedge to split the NPP even after his successful bid for the Flagbearership, Nana can never win the General Elections in 2012.
The Prof, by this very piece, is only trying to win over the Northern sympathy for Nana at the expense of Allan and others. But that won't work, if the People see the need to change leadership all through. A fair contest is what can choose the very best of leaders. Other than that, the Prof should advise Nana to vacate his bid and promote Dr. Bawumia for the Flagbearership instead. Can the Prof do that? I doubt it.

It is truly sad when Africans earn some academic credentials and elevate themselves to position of mastery of the world when everything about Africa, particularly Sub Saharan African, shows we have failed in every way possible to use what it is we claim to have mastered to develop our corner of the world.
Yes we have the luxury of living in civilized developed nation USA brought this far by Americans with red, white and blue blood running through their vein who built it for us to enjoy while we talk plenty nonsense to our dimwit followers in Ghana.
