It is obvious when one listens to the preaching and pronouncements of these so-called pastors, prophets, self-styled bishops and arch-bishops that they are more of motivational speakers than Christian pastors.
It is always obvious that their appearance and demeanour don't correlate with their pronouncements.
It is very difficult to reconcile their off the pulpit outlook with their preaching and pronouncements.
Yet the congregation applauds them because either they are illiterate or semi-illiterate or they are just lazy to read the same books these motivational speakers read. Be it the Bible or the abundant motivational books.

Religion according to Karl Marx is an opium for the masses. If there are a group of people that are to be blamed for letting religion to be profaned, then the blame goes to Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings who together wit his PNDC said that they embarked on a revolution a revolution without direction and ideology to guide it.
The same PNDC took from the people of Ghana all social welfare policies; free water, education, health, sanitation, among others from Ghanaians. Since the state can no more protect the people from social difficulties and problems they tend to seek their help from power above. The masses were told by Rawlings to live by illusion in the hope of God saving them.
Around the world things were made more difficult by the arming of Islamic fundamentalist by NATO. Thus people are confronted by both Christian and Islamic fundamentalist who tell people that they are just visitors to Earth and that their home is in heaven.
The west led by the U.S. has been using religion, mainly Eastern religions to undermine states. Even the current political problems in the Ukraine was under the guide of the Ukraine Catholic Church which sees Russian Orthodox Christians as enemies. We should not loose sight that religious feud is a tactics that capitalism uses to divide the masses and a case in point is the Northern Ireland Catholic and Protestant wars, which have now being imported by NATO into Africa.
The Abraham religions have not only been the cause of failure of the economy of many states but they are as well a danger to the existence of Human Civilization and the very existence of man himself. Eastern Religions are a Club of Damocles raised on the neck of mankind.
The war in the Ukraine, Yugoslavia, Armenia, Syria, Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Israel, Palestine, Afghanistan, Cyprus, Mali, Indonesia, terrorism in China, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Russia, U.S. and some EU countries, not to forget the 11/09/2001 were and are all influenced by instigated by religion and priests.

This NDC administration is the all time worst in the history of the nation but we've not got where we are in a sudden flight. It's taken a number of years for the deterioration to get this bad. Why the people choose the NDC is even mind boggling but it goes without saying that a degenerate society chooses one of its own as president or leader.
Christians and Muslims are 85 percent of the population, 68, 17 per cent respectively. The political elite comes from especially the christian majority so we cannot look too far to apportion blame.
About 98 per cent of ghanaian christians are just in the name only. They and their pastors' doings are at variance with the principles and doctrines of the Church organized by Jesus Christ. The prophet Isaiah saw it coming and wrote (Isaiah 24):
2. "And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with the master; ........
3. The land shall be utterly emptied and utterly spoiled:for the LORD hath spoken this word.
5. The earth is also defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
6. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned and few men left. "
The apple fruit does not fall far from the mother apple tree. We reproduce ourselves, corrupt for corrupt; thief for thief, adulterer for adulterer, liar for liar. Go to the church meeting houses and there you'll find assemblies of all the worst people you can think of. These are the people who present themselves for leadership and we later designate the titles "honorable, his Excellency". Aren't we jokers?
The purging of the nation must start from the pulpit and chapels of the most dominant religion, the christians. When the churches produce christians worthy of the name the government will be "upon their shoulders" and the nation will begin to prosper.
This is not to exonerate or make excuses for the abysmal performance of John Mahama and his NDC for "where much is given, much is required".

The bigger the apostate christians come as politicians the harder they fall. It's because they're as fake and as reprobate as you can get. Their pastors and priests are the worst. The church is supposed to be the place where change begins but it has been turned into the market and "the red line district". Why do the pastors continue to take monies from unrepentant followers? Is it because their monies are more important to them than their true conversion? In the church today the biggest donors are considered the most righteous but what did Jesus have to say about the widow's mite? I visited a pentecostal church in Tema in the mid 1980s and the pastor had this to say about the collection:"The more you pay in collection the faster the prayers we offer for you ascend to heaven and the quicker you receive the answer . As for those who pay very little their prayers stay on the earth never able to go heavenward." I thought those are the words of a charlatan for he went overboard with that lewd remark. When I left the chapel I never went back. One problem with most christians is that they hardly read the Bible and don't understand what's expected of them as christians. They blindly follow their blind pastors.
