Brother Michael,
P/NDC aka NDC is a failed ship which cannot improve living conditions in the country. NPP also cannot improve living conditions in the country. Therefore advocating for a two party- state is suicidal and a tragedy.
Since December 31 1981, how much of development have these two parties added to the economic development of the country?
I am sorry but you're WRONG, NDC has no agenda for national development else they would have implemented it in the last 30 years. NPP also has none.
All Nkrumaist should rather come HOME to CPP which has the blue print, the human and intellectual capacity to turn the fortunes of Ghana around.
The NDC cannot use a blue print of the Osagyefo because NDC was founded by Rawlings who detests the name of Nkrumah. The next question one can also ask is if NDC people are Nkrumaist why have they cowardly failed to change the name of our International airport? Every nation is recognised and identifies by its international airport; that is why most international airports are named after national heroes. Kotoka cannot be said to be National hero. He can be described as a traitor at best.
The way I see Ghana is that unless these two parties get off the scene, the obnoxious try and error governance and trickle down economics will persist. To me Ghana is a failed State, period!!!. Take care bro.

It does not matter who comes to power as long as people have jobs, shelter, food, water, electricity, education, good roads, better sanitation etc. Corruption has become endemic in our society and as Kofi Annan stated yesterday, "if our leaders fail to lead the people will lead". Let's hope there wouldn't be a people's uprising.

Bokor is always pushing this agenda. It will not work. The world is not just about win at all cost. That is just NDC and NPP. A better party will come, sooner or later.

1. You cannot appoint people like Afottey Agbo, Ama Benyiwa Doe, Fiifi Quartey, Mpianim, Zita, Asamoah Boateng, Jake Obestebe Lamptey,Hanna Bissiw and many others as ministers and expect the nation to develop.
2. Kwesi Botchwey was a disaster; he virtually sold the nation to the World Bank, IMF and J A Kuffour finished what was left of the nation. People like Same Jonah shouldn't even be walking free in the country. What about the Ahwois and PV Obengs and many people who think they have served the nation; but rather caused unimaginable harm? How can Kofi Jumah be appointed a minister? it is disgraceful. We always see and attend all Ghana Govt delegations to the West
to solicit investments to Ghana. Its been disaster upon disaster; they cannot even express themselves let alone make sense. All those foreigners who will risk investing in the country are those who will come and dupe the nation; not those who will come, develop and share the profits. This is because those who are sent from Ghana are dubious, intelligent and clueless.
3. The calibre of ministers and govt appointees have been gravely substandard. The two parties have not appointed credible and capable people to make informed decisions for the country but have always appointed party cronies (job for the boys). You listen to ministers speak and you feel so much pity for the nation. A country which does not produce cannot develop.
4. These two parties have collapsed the education and health systems of the country, how can it develop?
Whilst High School students in the advanced countries are inventing in their labs, the universities in Ghana are doing chew pore pass and forget. They haven't even been able to manufacture tooth picks or bulbs.Even water, rice, coffins and ketchup are imported
Brother Michaels, the issue is a serious one and I hope you rather add the reasons for which it cannot be possible that those who collectively helped in destroying the nation will suddenly be joined by the real Nkrumaists. it is sad

The CCP's downfall is easily traced to its founder, Kwame Nkrumah. Nkrumah was life Chairman, General Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee, and as he was President for life it meant he was life Presidential candidate!
Nkrumah never had a deputy Prime Minister or a Vice President. He picked MPs, he detained so many CPP colleagues for disagreeing with him. Others were chased into exile.
He encouraged a personality cult in the Party where he was the Messiah, Show Boy, Star of Destiny, Master Brain, etc etc. Thus no one was allowed to develop. There was no collective of so-called Young Turks who could think critically for themselves and thus develop in Nkrumah's. All the Young People in the Party were in the Young Pioneers and their role was to sing Nkrumah's praises and nothing else.
Contrast this with the Danquah-Busia tradition. JB Danquah starts a political movement called UGCC and he isn't even the Chairman - Pa Grant is elected to that post. Instead he is elected Vice-Chairman. I doubt if anyone recalls the name of the CPP Vice-Chairman under Nkrumah (assuming there was one!)
In 1961 Danquah realizes he has exhausted has electoral capital and thus gladly steps aside as flagbearer handing over the leadershipp to SD Dombo. In 1969 Kofi Busia, in order to lead the party has to go for primaries against SD Dombo at Achimota school! Imagine Nkrumah having to stand for election in the CPP!
Busia comes to power and creates the post of Deputy Prime Minister and appoints J. Kwesi Lamptey (ex CPP stalwart) to this position. He also begins to groom a cadre of young Deputy Ministers. Included in these ranks is one J.A. Kufuor.
Not surprisingly Danquah-Busia tradition has survived the one-party state, the 1972 coup an 30 years in opposition. It is the most durable and formidable political force in Africa outside the ANC and the Botswana Democratic Party.
The CPP for its part has declined slowly into irrelevance. These days it members have sought refuge under the umbrella of the NDC even though its founder insists Kotoka was a hero and Nkrumah gave us only flag and anthem independence.
A sad end to a once vibrant tradition and in my view this can be traced to its origins.

And when Nkrumah stood against the formation of parties on ethnic lines, instead of SD Dombo leading the opposition United Party (UP)he was coerced into giving up the seat to Busia who was a power drunk.
CPP was the only party that was not ethnically based.

CPP was not ethnicall based but it was not the only one. THe UGCC was still in existence until it broke up into pieces. Obetsebi-Lamptey left to join buisia in the Ghana Congress party for instance. The up was in the process of being formed through talks between the Ghana Congress Party, the Northern Peoples Party, the Muslim Action party and the Ga Standfast Movement etc. They formed in 1957 months before the CPP passed the Anti-Discrimination Act. Check your legislative History before insulting people on SIL
However, you have not tackled the reasons for the decline of the CPP. Nkrumah made it into his church with himself as the head pastor. When he was force out the church went into slow decline!

Sendoro, you are not being realistic. How many parties in the world could be banned for over 40 years and still come back? tell me. The 66 coup makers banned it. Even at the time Rawlings was forming his NDC, CPP was still proscribed. Those who could not wait left for the other parties and that is what you are seeing now.
As I write CPP's assets are still in government hands; why don't they release them to the party? They are scared to the bone. CPP will come back to rescue the country from the no hopers(NPP and NDC)
