“I wonder what former president; Flt. Lt. Jerry Rawlings, makes of the current state of affairs in the country.
It is rather sad that after all the bloodshed, pain and suffering, which was geared towards bringing the nation and its people into an era which will mean a fair distribution of wealth, accountable governance and progress, the spectre of activities which gave rise to the revolution is now seen to have regenerated into a monster; a behemoth of corruption which feeds itself and leaves nothing but pittance for the suffering masses,” quoting you…
---------------------------------------------
The problem, subjectively depicted in this nice chapeau, is not JJR. Rather, it is the mentality of the average Ghanaian, whose conscience and intelligence are called to question. If we regret the (I personally regret it because the present situation ostensibly makes the “bloodshed” a futile effort, not because I believe it was wrong. The cause and intentions were clear and objective) execution of those military officers why is their memory not being respected by stemming in the bud “the spectre of activities which gave rise to the revolution”?
During the insurrection when the military was strictly heavy-handed Ghanaians learnt to behave; we were even creative, benevolent, nationalistic and determined to let change take place of lethargy, indecision and lack of objectivity that have paralyzed individual thought for a long time during previous military regimes. This is indicative that we need a stiff force of rule or very strong leadership to counter our tough-skin indiscipline and avarice.
Rawlings made the same mistakes Nkrumah made: thinking his countrymen are as visionary or intelligent as he is. Should he have accepted democracy? Probably, but he should have worked with the military. Fine, we called for democracy, but is this democracy (meaning EXCEEDING IRRESPONSIBILITY, LAWLESSNESS, DISRESPECT FOR AUTHORITY AND OUR CULTURE & TRADITIONS) in Ghana worth it?
I will repeat this every day. The success of the country is ONLY linked to the enforcement of our laws and drafting of new bills to cater for new waves of misdemeanor in individuals. Someone should force the laws on Ghanaians but clearly, I don’t see who, and how, meaning our problems are just beginning, and surely our country is halfway near total collapse.
We need to sack all the judges.

The introduction of FYMI is long overdue. What is FYMI? FYMI is a 90 day exercise by soldiers which I call Fourth Year Military Intervention. The Military have to intervene in the fourth year of every civilian rule before elections, line those corrupt and greedy politicians up at TESHIE NUNGUA firing range and execute all of them.Soldiers will do the house cleaning for ninety days before elections. The Blackman is greedy, corrupt and idiotic. The only language African politicians understand is FIRING SQUAD.

I've read that South African Rand Bank wanted to buy The Merchant Bank for 199million Cedis without taking on the bad debts and, will not pursue the debtors to recover what is owed to the bank. Alternatively, Fontz Equities, a wholly Ghanaian owned wants to buy the Merchant Bank for 90million Cedis and will take on the bad debts and, will share recoveries @ 70/30%. Which of the two is correct? Somebody please HELP.

JJ Rawlings had a desire to come back into power behind his wife Nana Konadu. So he sacrificed all principles and nominated Mills--with the intention of having Konadu as VP and then pushing Mills aside.
But the Ahwois engineered on by Ibrahim Mahama and his cabal beat Rawlings at his own game by "nominating" John Mahama and then pushing Mills out.
So now, Rawlings has no skin in the NDC game. He gambled and lost--BIG TIME.
And now the NDC is been taken over by SNNIT fund thieves who have millions of Merchant Bank (not to be paid back) dollars to bribe, corrupt, cajole or whatever to get their zombies to do their bidding.
Hence the complaints from Bagbin and others that they have been shut out.
Its is sad that Rawlings' legacy has turned out to be a VAMPIRE--bent on sucking the country's resources for the benefit of the very few.
The NPP have also been beaten at the their game. So the only game in town is the incestuous Mahama system.
