Outages are not caused by the meters being outdoor; a bit of logical analysis is required of the writer. Where these outdoor meters are in operation the level of losses are greatly reduced, which means good news for good customers. Those complaining most are those whose stealing has been stopped by this system. As for lack of education ECG has done a lot; you need to check. In Ghana if we dont want something we talk of lack of education

What happens when a vehicle runs into a pole with meters clumped on it and falls down or if rubbers decide to invade a house and begin by smashing the meters on the pole? These and many other concerns are what many Ghanaians are worried about. We need to think outside the box and not insulting rational thinkers.

the ECG is full of incompetent personnel. The approach to the changing of the meters was so barbaric. they are insensitive persons with no respect for society.

So far so good. So if someone(let say Armed Robber) cuts-off that that meter by the pole outside; let say if I'm using burglar proof. will my power go off? if so then it is not safe security wise?
