CHRAJ should have swung into action by now. What are they waiting for? To hear the voice of the people before they perform a mandatory duty, or what is it? This lackadaisical cum wait- and-see attitude is killing us. CHRAJ should heed these genuine calls to carry out further investigations into sacked Victoria Hammah's leaked audio recordings. The gravity of what she allegedly said is very serious and damning. This can't pass without the needed attention it deserves. Or, are we going to experience yet another clandestine move by government officials to meet CHRAJ officials in the same fashion Vicky claimed that Nana Oye Lithur met the justices before the election petition result was announced. What for? Wonders will never end. In Ghana, everything is possible. Hmm??

CHRAJ CANNOT INVESTIGATE ANY ISSUE WITHOUT A FORMAL COMPLAINT MADE TO IT.THE OPERATING WORDS ARE FORMAL COMPLAIN.SO EVEN IF CHRAJ WANTS TO INVESTIGATE IT CANNOT AND THAT'S WHY CHRAJ HAS BEEN DISARMED BY THE SC.WHEN IT WAS IN ANANE'S FAVOUR THE SO CALLED LAWYERS HAILED IT AS VICTORY FOR COMMON SENSE AND NOW THAT CHRAJ CANNOT ACT IN MORE SERIOUS CASES BECAUSE OF THAT RULING, THE SAME ARE HERE BASHING CHRAJ. THE SC SAYS THE CONSTITUTION REQUIRES CHRAJ TO HAVE A FORMAL COMPLAIN BEFORE IT BEFORE IT CAN PROCEED TO INVESTIGATE ANYTHING OF PUBLIC INTEREST.UNTIL ANY GOES TO CHRAJ WITH A FORMAL COMPLAIN, THERE WILL BE NO INVESTIGATION NO MATTER HOW MUCH WE SHOUT OURSELVES HOARSE.THAT IS SETTLED LAW re ANANE VRS CHRAJ

Akwasi, thanks for your contribution. But did you read Gabby's article? You know he's a seasoned lawyer who understands the law better than most of us do. He said something in block letters which I want to quote: 'Most importantly, CHRAJ, unlike the Law Court, does not wait for a case to be lodged with it, before it performs its responsibility. CHRAJ can investigate at its own initiative an allegation of corruption that is in the public domain and which affects public interest'. Why has Emily Short, a former boss of CHRAJ, called on CHRAJ to carry out further investigations into the matter?
