Mr Wuni,
This is a great and thought-provoking piece, and I indeed agree largely with your submissions.
However, I thought you are rather overly hard on the security agencies. This is understandable, in view of the painful killings at the weekend, coupled with the history you have given. Notwithstanding that, I think the people of Bawku owe a great deal of gratitude to the security agencies for the important role they have played and continue to play, in contributing to the relative peace in the area. I also join you to call on them to do even better to bring the perpetrators of these heinous crimes to book. I will also add that the good people of Bawku whom I know cherish the prevailing peace, will cooperate with the security agencies in their effort to find these people, because their task will be difficult without the cooperation of people who have useful information.
Long Live Bawku!

bbawku shooting lead to the death of three innocent people; security agents (both police and soldiers) are brougt to bawku to ensure the safety of lives and properties. But let's ask ourselves are they really performing their duty as expected of them?. If no then what are they there for?. I think the only way lives and properties can be protected is when injustices are suppressed.
