Many of us living outside Ghana have adopted a "Hear no evil see no evil speak no evil" to this most dangerous of national issues.
Someday, even our dead bodies when they arrive in Ghana will be misplaced and buried at wrong locations by mortuary assistants who cannot read!

Kwabena, it is not about WAEC or BECE or the number of years both useless parties of the NDC and NPP alters them to or from. There is more to it.......
Our understanding of ‘Education’ is all about perfecting other peoples ‘powerful tools’ (language) based on collecting knowledge without the basic understanding of its origins and values. It is all about aping other humans’ lifestyle, totally contrary to our cultural heritage and good traditional beliefs.
The worst of it all is that, everything is done without any practical aspects to the implementation of the theoretical side of things. So, my question is…..why do we seem surprised with the results of failure in everything we do in this our society? Can’t we think to realize that our whole approach is wrong?????
Our so-called ‘Education’ system is deeply-rooted i n the concept of reading a in book (in someone else’s language), memorizing it again, again and again, regurgitating it out of the ‘memory box’ (that is, if one has one) unto an exam paper, get good grades and eventually attain a degree/masters and forget everything after the process. Another sequence for this kind of education system is called – ‘chew’, ‘pour’, ‘pass’ and ‘forget’ – which gives no room for any form of analytical thinking.
A system that basically breeds ‘educated illiterates’ who behave like zombies posing around in someone else’s ‘lingos’. These breed then go on to become AFROPEANS......who see no good in their own citizens and then go on to collaborate with their slave masters to rape their nations dry, at the expense of their children’s future. Therefore, the ‘rat syndrome’ cycle continues.
Our so-called education system is a colonialist system of education devised for us Africans to continue to be subservient to our slave masters forever. A system that teaches us how POOR we are as Africans.....even though we are sitting on most of the world’s richest natural resources. A system designed to encourage brain drain. A system that makes us believe that everything African is evil and POOR.....even our ‘lingos’. It breeds enslaved minds.
Unfortunately, most of our wise people and intellectuals have died and gone with so much wisdom to help our nation but, for lack of speaking someone else’s ‘lingo’ they passed away without being recognized. What a shame!
I also wonder why we continue to pursue such a so-called ‘Education’ system that has churned out EEEMMMMM!!!!! politicians, leaders, elders, professionals after professionals ,after professionals, who can’t seem to think outside ‘the box’ (preferably challenge their minds) to solve our basic problems. I prefer to use challenging of minds than the ‘box’ bit, because we can’t seem to make any use of ‘the box’ God freely bestowed upon us.
That ‘box’ delivers NOTHING! So you can imagine the results of asking our folks to be thinking out of.
Hmmmmm!!I’m afraid we are doomed for good, if our educated illiterates don’t even realize that GM crops and TOXIC waste are not good for us.
GOD BLESS GHANA!

Ogyani, what is good English? Are you English? I guess what you have written is good English. Right? And have stood you in good stead. Right?...........
You are a typical example/product of the enslaved minds and the result of our colonialists education system I was referring to.
Did you read my response or you just picked and chose what to respond to.
It's obvious you did not get it. I was trying to challenge minds for some serious suggestions and not your typical response.....................
If the non-African 'lingo' have stood you and your family in good stead and made doctors, engineers etc. out of you educated illiterates.....Why can't you lot find solutions to our society of FILTH, POVERTY, INFERIORITY COMPLEX, SLAVE MENTALITY etc. with your knowledge acquired by means of someone else's 'lingo'.
Can you please explain why an African 'lingo' can't be used? If it can be done in the first university of the world in Timbuktu, Mali - where different nations all over Africa and beyond came to study to further civilization from the North to the South of the Nile where science and technology helped build great pyramids and deserts being irrigated for agric...........Please ask your myopic enslaved mind - how that was all achieved????????? Did they speak good English? Hell no! Go research how they communicated and come back to me with some sensible answers and not cheap shots.
That kind of education system stood in good stead for entire communities (the true African way) and NOT individuals.
(I doubt if you get it).
That forget that system had the greatest and richest man that the world has ever known......even in this modern age....and that was Mansa Musa.
No I guess you did not know that....but, do know about MacBeth, Charles Dickens and Shakepeare and them lot....right? But not who you are and where civilization originated from? Well, sorry for being too harsh on you, because you cannot know this for the reason being your enslaved mind would never allow you to know.
If we took pride in our 'lingos' for a start and were taught to write in them.....you would have expected me to do so. However, for your information, I am self taught in most Ghanaian and African languages that could be beneficial to you......as long as you enslaved mind can allow me to educate you on how that is possible.
PLEASE read my response before you get back to me with your homework.
GOD BLESS GHANA!

How come we don't ever seem to benefit from this global village thing? It is nothing but an utopia to grab hold of our rich natural resources for good.
The Chinese somehow link with the rest of the world. English is not their official language? The Indians educate themselves in Hindu but have a choice of English for business purposes.
The British were colonized by the Romans.....why not latin at the time?
Most Africans are in the Commonwealth, please tell me.......has the wealth ever been commonly and equally shared amongst its nations? The richest nations in the Commonwealth own and control our richest assets. The same applies to this illuminati agenda of global village. It is a sham! Kojo.
Take the UN for instance....how do other nations with different languages listen to each other? It's not by means of a single 'lingo'.....or is it? It is via means of a 'tool' of communication which gives understanding to all.
Finally Kojo, language is a very powerful tool of expression and a weapon for acquiring knowledge within your surrounding environment. And can also be a weapon to enslave minds.....
An AFRICAN language like Swahili spoken by all would be the way forward. Not a language forced upon us by people who enslaved us and inflicted despicable acts on our people. We need to wake up!
Have a good week. Kojo.
God bless ghana!

We have embarked on acquiring knowledge based solely on someone else's experiences and language, totally alien to ours for generations.
Our citizens who have wisdom to share, for the benefit of OUR nation are dropped, because they can't speak or write in someone else's 'lingo'? Are we serious?
The outcome of such a system of acquiring knowledge has yielded basically NOTHING......to show for.
I know the mediocre souls in our midst see things differently.............
Doesn't this call for COMMON SENSE to take over and restrategize for our own good??? And here we are year in year out debating the logistics of education.
Until we know why GOD ALMIGHTY created us and gave us the tools there be, to communicate and acquire knowledge for ourselves and in our own 'lingo'.....then I'm sorry to say we will NEVER ever develop as a nation.
And the entire Africa falls within my assertions.
GOD BLESS GHANA!
