I never knew Margaret Jackson could write so intelligently like this. She should have been bold to say Mahama's inordinate desire to become Ghana's president and so bought 4x4 vehicles for chiefs, laptops for students, cars for female students - prior to the 2012 elections has put us where we are now. He foolishly thought that the oil money would pour in like rain water. When you have a fool leading you, you better stand aside and watch him. This what Ghanaians must do because Mahama has taken on a task he has very little skill in handling.

This is well written,but there are certain points I kind of disagree with you.Most notably,the cut down of public workers,I will rather suggest that the single spine salary structure need to be reviewed.That alone is a key area that affect the economy,lots of money is being doled out,yet workers are still being pushed to strike from unscrupulous politicians for political gains.
Another area that is of concern is corruption,not only government appointees but the Ghana public in general.I remember,when I was in Ghana last year,every hotel that a slept in for the whole month do not want to give me the VAT receipt,each time they give a separate receipt to avoid paying for taxes.This is unfortunate,you cannot do things like this in the developed world.We as a people need to take charge of our own destiny,and stop depending on these so called development partners.We need to put our house in order.
