In the first place, the Assistant Secretary for African Affairs, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, if she is on representational duties in Ghana, will be acting ultra vires to even suggest that the U.S will influence such a heinous legislation in Ghana.
The U.S is very much aware that certain experiments in the State of Virginia in the late 1970s went awry when the test-tube monkeys escaped. The culinary route has not been one of the conduits of the spread of the HIV Aids virus. Despite the falsity of the concocted story of "an airline host having an affair with some Africans that ate green monkeys that kept the "band to move on", it has been scientifically proved that the HIV Aids disease is not spread through the culinary route. The first outbreak was detected at rallies and conventions in California by gay and lesbian Americans.
All attempts to suffuse Africa with the HIV AIDS Virus have succeeded in certain African countries tt are quite unaware of the giant conspiracy to decimate the populations African countries. It is widely reported that certain health and medical administrators from the "wise west" have been secretly injecting and administering the HIV virus in certain African countries.
Now the cat is out of the bag that the U.S intends to employ and influence the "sikadicious",charlatans, corrupt and gullible elements in Ghana's government and the judicial system to foment their nefarious intent on Africa through Ghana, the gateway.
Certainly, Ghana is not in a constitutional crisis of any kind in terms of the people's health. Why propose a Constitutional Review? To give rights to Gays and Lesbians?
In the first place, it is not within the ambit of any U.S. Embassy official to suggest such proposals that would seem to meddle in Ghana's laws.
Let the people vehemently oppose such a proposal to export the bane of Gay and Lesbian activities into our country.
If that suggestion was at the behest of the American Gay and Lesbian elements and communities in Ghana, it is about time for Ghanaians to be vocal about it that we are straight people. We do not want it, nor would we encourage homosexuality in our country.

For instance, the pun in your 5th paragraph tells a lot but may be missed by many who are not abreast with the subject in its global terms.
We need more of such views. More importantly and beyond that, we must show muscle in practical terms to "resist oppressors rule" as is indicated in our national anthem. We must identify and isolate the hired local imperialist errand boys and girls. The current Minister of Gender in the NDC govt and the entire NPP ideological machinery are vulnerable and willing to being employed as Trojan Horses by the imperialists so we must watch them closely. This is not a joke and it is not about nicey-nicey democracy, it is a real threat and a matter of racial survival.
In the same way that we dont practice democracy at the war-front, i.e. Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and Syria where drones are killing innocent people everyday on the pretext that they are 'suspected terrorists', we must also go all out to 'conquer' the invading forces of evil, depravity and Mammon with whatever means we have at our disposal.

Nobody in Ghana is discriminating or attacking gay people. Gays have lived peacefully in Ghana since time in memorial. So why the need to promote gayism? There are no homo-phobic attacks in Ghana, so why the need to make something out of nothing????
If the US and most advanced countries feel gays have rights, so does Ghana and its citizens. So on this matter, we are NOT going to be drawn in on the West's crusade to legalize gay marriages and promote it in our schools. Hell no!

I don't understand Obama at all on this issue. Iraq, Kuwait and Afaghanistan are benefitials of American spending power and protection. If homosexuality is a good thing, why cann't America sell it to its allies in the Arab countries like Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait?
