Are these government even listening? All they are concerned with is growing their personal bank accounts local and foriengh.. As you have rightly alluded to it is hunger, poverty, inequality, perceived segregation and insensitivity of the powers that be towards certain groups or elements of society creates these disaffections, non regard of right to life and radicalism. Ghana as a nation made up of different ethnic backgrounds should be VERY CAREFUL least these ethnic divisions be harnessed and abused.

This has nothing to do with poverty or joblessness. If you foolishly get yourself involved in another man's problems, then be prepared to reap the results. The Kenyans agreed to do the dirty work of the westerners for them and they are facing the backlash. Sorry that our eminent poet and diplomat was at the wrong place at the wrong time and died in the attack. Ghana should not get involved Kenya's call to send troops to Somalia. Just leave the Somalis to sort themselves out. If they want to fight themselves back to the stone age, they should go ahead. It is not worth to invite attacks to our country when it only serves other powers' agenda.

You have a point, but unfortunately picture a scenario where a river overflow its banks, it goes everywhere and anywhere without anyone's directing it, the cat is already out of the bag, there is only one option, and that is all hands on deck to fight this menace, think about the currupt nature of many Gh'ans even those in authority, all it will take is a bribe of $100 and these terrorists can have thier way, think about how close boko haram is to our borders. What is necessary now is our leaders must come out with a national strategy that will begin to educate and prepare citizens for this inevitable event, this is not the time for "dzi wo fie asem"...

AFCOM is one of the techniques America is employing to colonize Africa. Genetically Modified Seeds/food is the other technique, which unfortunately, is being swallowed hook and sinker by our naïve government officials, and people like this author. Terrorism is very evil and needs to be uprooted everywhere and anywhere in the world.
There are several route causes of terrorism which includes religious fundamentalism, political fundamentalism which leads to power struggles and supremacists ones that are covertly designed to destabilize countries..........................
I also agree with Kwaku that, poverty, squalor and neglect by central governments can lead to terrorism. In which certain rich individuals can take advantage of, in trems of what I outlined above; for their own personal gains.
We need to be careful in dealing with terrorism and will have to get to the core of each matter, before we jump the gun, so to speak.
Nkrumah was operating on a different wavelength in comparison not only to Africans but, the world over. He was right!
Would we Ghanaians now consider that the bomb-throwing to destabilize his government then, was terrorism? (Think deeply about it).
Terrorism is not one dimensional, so to tackle it we have to know its source. And have a multi-faceted approach in dealing with it. It is not all about going to blow them apart, just to breed more mayhem. It is a matter of addressing the core issues and reaching out to the minds that are being brainwashed.
Others also sit back and orchestrate it on us, and then turn around to offer us protection, whilst their main motives is to collaborate with some of our own, to milk us dry of our rich natural resources by any means necessary. (Think deeply about it).
The idea of the African High command should have an ideological aspect to its operations.....to address all issues I have mentioned above. As history shows us that bombing terrorists just for the sake of doing so, continues to breed more of them and the cycle continues.
Africans should sit up and stop being GULLIBLE and tackle these issues wholeheartedly and not play politics with it. And this goes specifically to both the NDC and NPP parties.
GOD BLESS GHANA!
