An old preacher was dying. He sent a message for his IRS agent and his Lawyer (both church members), to come to his home. When they arrived, they were ushered up to his bedroom. As they entered the room, the preacher held out his hands and motioned for them to sit on each side of the bed. The preacher grasped their hands, sighed contentedly, smiled and stared at the ceiling. For a time, no one said anything. Both the IRS agent and Lawyer were touched and flattered that the old preacher would ask them to be with him during his final moment. They were also puzzled because the preacher had never given any indication that he particularly liked either one of them. Finally, the Lawyer asked, "Preacher, why did you ask the two of us to come?"
The old preacher mustered up some strength, then said weakly, "Jesus died between two thieves, and that's how I want to go, too.

The Danquah/Dumbo/Busia tradition of greed and power at all cost is and continues to be the hall mark of NPP that through its leaders manifest itself in the chase for money that trumps moral and intellectual values. Kufour has and did more damage to Ghana than anyone and pretending that he is a great leader Ghana has ever known is at the root of a party incapable of intellectual honesty and or the capacity to put love of country above greed and love of money. It is the attraction for money that continues to fuel the hatred and infighting that will never live down with leaders of the NPP.
Look at the so-called leaders of the NPP and for that matter NDC. These are people who prior to becoming members of parliament and or becoming minister with and without portfolio did not have homes and or cars but have become unbelievably rich beyond what is normal in UK and or USA where the values of democracy and free market principle are effectively practiced and lived each day. A political system that allows for people elected to lord over the electorate is a system that produces the kind of greedy bastards we have as politicians in Ghana. And as long as you and other live outside Ghana in civilized nations enjoying the fruits of real practices and principles of democracy but fail to put an end to the thieves and vagabond existence of your party and the NDC party Ghana can never get anywhere. Money rules and as the Christian Bible tells us where money rules there will never be peace and tranquility.
