1. He claims he's not in the habit of writing rejoinders! A big lie!!! Nobody writes rejoinders on ghanaweb like Okoampa. There's no article that mentions all! I am a Literary Journalist with intellectual and critically thinking readers as my primary audience, and that is my choice; to which he does not fire an immediate reply in the form of a rejoinder. Just go through his more than 1000 articles to ghanaweb and see. Moreover, most of his articles are reactions to things he has read on the net. They are, in a way, rejoinders too.
2. When he writes: "I am a Literary Journalist with intellectual and critically thinking readers as my primary audience" I don't know who he thinks he's deceiving. Nobody who has critically thinking readers as his primary audience will send three articles to ghanaweb! Yet ghanaweb is Okoampa's primary outlet for his daily articles. Ghanaweb is a cheap site not at all made up of critical thinkers. How a litererary journalist can continue patronizing such a site is a real wonder.
3. He rails against those on this site who sling mud and then goes directly to do the same!!!
4. Okoampa's real problems are these: he's suffering from graphomania - the pathological need to write and write and write. This, necessarily, makes him write anything at all and any inconsequential things. He has a very high regard of his intellectual prowress. He thinks he's a highly creative person but society has not recognize all his creative talents. Okoampa started writing long before the likes of Chimamanda, Teju Cole, Taiye Selasi and other young Africans have come on the literary scene, taken all the literary glory and are so busy attending conferences around the world that they don't have time to write trite commentaries to cheap websites like ghanaweb. This must feel very frustrating to Okoampa, no matter what he says to counter these observations.
5. As for Okoampa's writing style, there may be people who will like such writing. That's normal. The man has a large vocabulary but, for me, I don't really admire his writing style, as a matter of taste. That is not to say his style is bad. I just don't admire it. It reads too much like the worst efforts of mediocre Victorian essayists.

I belong to the camp of Ghanaians who peremptorily frown up some of Okoampa’s articles, especially those that border on divisiveness and intolerance. I reject any calls to bowdlerize, or censor, writers on Ghanaweb.com, however, as upholding free speech is central to the survival of participatory democracy. The best anyone can do is plead with Okoampa to jettison his overly provocative and inflammatory articles, although Okoampa, who belongs to the literati, knows exactly what he is doing and understands the implication of his actions. Despite the man’s stance, I do like the guy, more so because my Christian faith teaches me to love everyone.
Despite Okoampa’s penchant for activism and propensity for vexation, he is a brilliant man, whose energies can be tapped to move the nation forward. While some detest Okoampa for writing ornate language, I do like the language in his pieces, because many of the articles we read on Ghanaweb.com are plagued by grammatical errors, the likes of which are painful to endure. Per contra, Okoampa, a professor of creative writing, brings to this leading pro-Ghana(ian) Web site much-needed exhibition of literariness and excellent command of the English language, which the discerning reader loves. If only Okoampa could avoid the “internecine” feuds with Ewes, northerners, the NDC, and other groups that torment his mind daily … he will become one of the great minds Ghana has known in this decade and beyond.
In my recent article about President John Mahama’s poorly managed Twitter account, I suggested that Okoampa and other academics devote their summers to teaching classes in journalism in Ghana, but some of my readers, understandably, took umbrage at the suggestion. Of course, I know why some think that Okoampa does not deserve such recognition, but I disagree. Okoampa is a very smart man, and to get him to spend his voluntarily donated time in the service of the nation, despite his misgivings about so many people and groups, is a good cause. I pray that Okoampa will take up the challenge and head across the Atlantic Ocean to Ghana next summer.
More importantly, as someone who cannot hate another, all I can do is pray for Okoampa to have a change of heart regarding the tenor of his articles. The day Okoampa rejects rift-engendering articles is the day that Ghanaweb.com would have undergone a positive transformation. Over to you, Uncle Kwame!

I spent most of the time in Mt Hermon north of the Golan heights. I also spent two months in the Heminit, Avital, and Bental. This year, I went with Mrs. Gersis. She spent her time in Ghajar in the clinic there helping our brothers and sisters. We never saw each other when we landed in Ben Gurion Airport in February because I spent my days and nights in the field.
Dan, Kidmat Zvi, was my last port of call this August. This place smells with evil. The Jihadists are a stone thrown away. I could smell them, and I could see the evil in their eyes.
Dan, we worked 24/7 in the cold in February. But I have enjoyed it greatly. Mrs. Gersis is here with me. She has a lot of gray hair now, but she's pretty now that ever.

What you Daniel Pryce should have pointed out to this typically weird homosexual instead of going off-tangent with your own weird postulations is that rejoinders, which Okoampa frowns on in one breath and denigrates in another, offer a form of discussion on a given subject matter.
Unless I have also got it wrong, I presume that the word discussion connotes or implies any kind of exchange of ideas.

Per contra, that is to borrow your word, Okoampa could be said to be a sufferer of ADHD which I believe in his case has used it positively to be where he is. Other sufferers used ADHD in athletics to burn the excessive energy and looks like Owusu Afriyie is no exception. Before SC Owusu Afriyie had high ego but it dropped to near zero when he was before the SC, a case of Bipolar disorder (high-low character).
In my observation of his Character,articles-Okoampa is most often not objective and he often thrives to defend the indefensible showing most of his political,ethnic biases.
Despite his fluent writing, he hardly makes logic in his reasoning, a sign of weakness in Arithmetic.
