An elderly white lady did her shopping and upon return found 4 Black males in her car. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at them at the top of her voice that she knows how to use it and that she will if required so get out of the car.
The 4 men Black men didn't wait around for a second invitation but got out and ran like mad, where upon the lady proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the drivers seat. Small problem, her key wouldn't fit the ignition. Her car was identical and parked four/five spaces further down.
She loaded her bags into her car and drove to the police station. The Black sergeant that she told the story to nearly tore himself in two with laughter and pointed to the other end of the counter where 4 pale Black males were reporting a car-jacking by a mad elderly white woman. No charges were filed.
WE ARE OUR OWN ENEMIES.IMAGINE IF IT WAS A BLACK WOMAN THAT POINTED THE GUN ON THE FOUR BLACK MEN,OR A BLACK WOMAN POINTING THE GUN ON FOUR WHITE men,SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AND DETAINED.

I can see you believe in FREEDON, JUSTICE & THE RULE OF LAW. Nkrumah had NO RESPECT FOR THESE BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS. He had to be in charge at all costs - OVERTURNING COURT DECISIONS, THROWING PEOPLE INTO JAIL WITHOUT TRIAL - the list is ENDLESS.
THERE IS NO SINGLE AFRICAN WHO HAS A GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO RULE FOREVER - this is a major cause of our problems. I know there will always be some in society who will always sell their souls for their personal gains BUT I still believe they should be given that freedom until the HANG THEMSELVES.
NKRUMAH could have been the BRIGHTEST SON of AFRICA had it not been for the ILL-CONCEIVED PDA.

Yes, the PDA was bad. The implementation was also bad. And, yes, Nkrumah was definitely showing dictatorial tendencies in the later part of his regime. He changed the few democratic practices we inherited from the British and move towards systems that took away some of out freedoms. He also allowed too much corruption in sections of his government even though he, himself, was not really a greedy man. The Ghana Young Pioneers had certain "tendencies" of the Hitler Jugend and were not popular at all with certain sections of the populace.
But the point is: Can Nkrumah be compared with Hitler? The answer is an EMPHATIC NO! Nkrumah was not a Hitler. He lived through the 2nd WW and was fully aware of the German tragedy. The abuse of human rights during his regime came nowhere near what we saw later in some of our military regimes, specifically JJ's time. And one thing was certain which you cannot take away from Nkrumah: he had a very genuine desire to improve the lot of the downtrodden Ghanaian and was determined to make Ghana a show piece African nation. That he didn't quite succeed is a different matter. But give the "devil" his due. He was no Hitler!

His diatribe was extensively against the communist ideology.But as written elsewhere under feature articles by Dr Ocansey,that spirit of patriotism and pride in their culture is what has propelled China to the top of the league table in terms of success.As usual Kobena is back to his anti Nkrumah stance.
The period before February 24 1966 saw Ghana leading Africa in everything including education and sports and more importantly he laid a solid infrastructure for development of our industries which the matemehu gangs sabotaged.
Nkrumah as the BBC reluctantly concluded is the greatest African of all times and his ideas will surely liberate Africa from the remnants of colonialism.

If you had read my posting on Kwesi's article, you would have realised that I chastised him for the awkward sentence about Nkrumah and Hitler. As a Fanti, I thought I knew what he wanted to write.
The purpose of education is to enable us to adapt and use its lessons in every situation. Sarfo as a lawyer, simply compared the practice in civilised democracies to what is being done in Ghana, and I don't believe there was anything wrong with it, except maybe the language in one or two areas.
By 1966, most countries in sub-Sahara Africa had only been independent for less than five years. Most of them did not even have the local self-rule privilege that we had from 1951-1957, Why have they all overtaken us today? Just check how many times the West African Examination Council cancels little Gambia's results, compared to Ghanaian candidates. Don't tell me it has to do wiith the overthrow of Kwame Nkrumah because Akyeampong, Limann, Atta-Mills and even Jerry Rawlings who later turned round and said "Nkrumah only gave Ghana a flag and a Nationa Anthem", was an Nkrumaist. Could it be the foundation? That is what we have to discuss dispassionately as citizens and find a viable solution to our developmental headaches for generations unborn!

Sarfo's breathtaking arrogance and his misunderstanding of the law of contempt is a sad indictment of his legal training.His interpretation of the law on freedom of speech is even more bazaar and reflects sadly on him.
I will just leave it at that since that article had done more harm to him than what his article intended to do against Justice Atuguda.(If a lawyer does not know that a panel decision is collective and only attributes it to one person then he is not worth the bother). He was totally exposed as a fake and his qualification in law came under intense scrutiny a test he woefully failed.He will not be the same sarfo again.He is diminished in our estimation
