What you are saying is just the reality and if the government is indeed resolved to eradicate poverty then the allowance should be adjusted upward to motivate personnel to give up their best.

Service personnel have always contributed their quota towards the development of mother Ghana but sometimes most personnel are reluctant to serve the nation not because they unpatriotic rather the high cost of living in the country is the sole reason behind this behave. The government should make it a priority and increase the monthly allawance of the personnel to enable them give their best.

Yes - Birds of the same feather flock together BUT in POLITICS, NOT ON TRIBAL OR RACIAL GROUNDS!!!! This is where the NPP has got it VERY WRONG.
If they are flocking together on IDEOLOGICAL GROUNDS then that is fine but they have played the AGE OLD ASHANTI SEPARATIST CARD YET AGAIN. HOW THEY ARE GOING TO DID THEMSELVES OUT OF THAT HOLE IS ANOTHER QUESTION.
ASHANTIS HAVE ALWAYS FELT INFERRIOR TO OTHER TRIBES ESPECIALLY TO THE GAS. EDUCATION WAS BROUGHT TO THEM BY NKRUMAH IN THE SIXTIES. THEY BELIEVED EDUCATION WAS AN END IN ITSELF BUT WHEN THEY FOUND THAT NOT TO BE THE CASE, THEIR FRUSTRATION INCREASED.
UNFORTUNATELY, Ashantis are INHERENTLY CRUDE & RAW - as the saying goes ' YOU CAN TAKE THE ASHANTIMAN OUT OF ASHANTILAND BUT YOU CANNOT TAKE THE CRUDE ASHANTI BEHAVIOUR OUT OF THE ASHANTIMAN'. YOU VISIT EUROPE & THE UNITED STATES AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN. BY THE WAY, THE WOMEN ARE THE SAME - VERY CRUDE, ALWAYS TRYING TO COPY GAS!!!!
FOR AN ASHANTIMAN TO VISIT ACCRA IS LIKE GOING ABROAD. WHO ARE SELLING THE DOG CHAINS IN THE STREETS OF ACCRA? IF KUMASI IS NOT A BIG VILLAGE, WHY DO THEY LEAVE IN THEIR DROVES FOR THE BRIGHT LIGHTS OF ACCRA?
ASHANTIS THOUGHT THE SEA WAS BOILING WATER AND WE HAD TO DRAG THEM - SCREAMINY- INTO THE SEA. IT WAS THE SAME WITH FLYING - WE WERE EMPLOYED AT THE AIRPORT TO GET THEM ONTO FLIGHTS. THEY HAD TO BE BLINDFOLDED, DRIVEN AROUND ACCRA TO DISORIENTATE THEM THEN CARRIED ONTO THE AIRCRAFTS.
THIS IS WHY THEY HAVE THIS SEPARATIST TRAIT IN THEM!!! LET US PRAY THAT THEY WILL OVERCOME THEIR ISSUES ONEDAY.

Its really pathetic that in this stage of our development people still resort to tribalism when very important national issues are been discussed. To the best of my knowledge this article sort to create the awareness for government to increase the allowance of national service personnel. its really disgusting, awful, backward, distasteful and inhumane to comment on this article diverting the entire subject matter to Tribal centered issues which does not auger well for growth and development. This kind of attitude does not facilitate nation building and therefore ought to be condemned. For whether Ashantis,Gas,Ewes,Dagombas,Walas,Fantes,Krobos, etc, we are all one people and should not allow people like 'KUKRUDU' set confusion and hatred among us. Long live Ghana, Long live all our great institutions within it. For together we stand and build a great nation.

Tamale offers most of the facilities of Accra and kumasi but, it is still you find things very cheap. Goods brought from Accra and kumasi are cheaper in Tamale than even in those cities. If you can spend 3cedis daily on transport in Tamale then those in ACCRA will spend like 10cedis.

As far as my understanding goes, what has been described in the article as National Service is not right. In my opinion it is rather Work Experience which one has to go through before embarking on his studies for the profession he intends to follow. National Service, on the other hand, to me involves enrolment in the Military for a period, say for two or three years, purposely to do, for example, essential jobs like building of roads and bridges, farming and the like where personnel for such jobs are hard to find. After completion of the period of this National Service then one goes back to render service in the fields for which one has been trained. I stand to be corrected, please, for we are all learning. Thank you.
