"Religion is about a set of beliefs, value systems, norms and practices based on the teachings of a revered leader." This your definition of religion could very well apply to Democracy, Socialism, our Chieftaincy and so on. The problem is that religious affiliations often become a booster, again that applies to political and social affiliations. I like the American model, the belief that all men are created equal, therefore all men should have access to land and live independent lives. Postmodernism or anarchy or whatever you want to call it does not exist. Subliminal messages determine the choices we make unless we become aware of the choices there are and make conscious decisions regarding "which revered leader to follow".

Oh my God so we have such knowledgeable individuals in our mist and more also in parliament.
Why have they kept so silent to allow the charlatans and empty headed to dominate the political scene?

I have known Mr Osei during his call of duty as Ghana's High commissioner to the UK.He is a fine and likable diplomat who notwithstanding your politics ends up impressing you.How I wish he was the leader of his party, he will be a more salable candidate than what they presently have.
Having said that I notice that not for once did he acknowledge president Mahama with his title president. At least one would have thought that having been sworn in as president in accordance with the constitution that respect must be accorded him.
I know Mr Osei is more enlightened than blindly following his party orders even if in bad taste. He must wiggle from that line because he epitomizes a strong personality for leadership and therefore must leave above the fray.
Again he ended up his speech playing politics with his perceived observation of the ndc after the 2008 elections.I wonder whether his address was meant to a branch of npp youth activists or a broad church.
