I can simply go back, ask the receipt to be checked against the counterfoil and have it signed. It changes nothing. NPP should have simply asked for a recount if they were sure they were cheated. Failure to take this simple route means they knew that they lost the elections. They should clear after wasting out time and state money for all the live telecast

If here was the need to print more sets for other candidates, they should have been numbered from 9 to 16, with the names colum left blank. The duplication was the means by which the massive raud was peprectuated on Ghanaians.
Kanga, with the possible connivance of Safo Kantanka, recruited those "ghost" presiding officers who intentioanlly refused to sign their pink sheets for obvious reasons.
I believe that a majority of the judges are more sophisticated than your simmplistic analysis, and the kind of infantile postings on Ghanaweb!

Michael, in my view, the electoral system is not the issue. by and large the structures that have been put in place backed by the necessary constitutional instruments are robust enough to stand the test of time and serve us well.
The issues are more of the practical processes involved in the preparation and conduct of elections - from training given to election officers, to the policing, collation, compilation and presentation of results, and the role of polling agents and party representatives.
In other words, the EDUCATIONAL and logistical aspects of the process. I hasten to add that CI74/75 need to be looked at again and clarity given for the use of "technology" as part of the verification process as these are not necessarily 'fool-proof' and can thus fail. The wording in my view needs to be rephrased to eliminate ambiguities which create 'loop holes' for the kind of ridiculous challenge we are faced with now in the supreme court.
I am confident that the electoral SYSTEM itself is sufficiently robust, though I concede systems can always be improved.

A concerned panel of judges would be more inclined to dismiss the petition for the sake of peace. Is it not better for peace to prevail than justice now ? After all, jusitce delayed is justice denied. And for this reason future challenges should be done at the polling stations rather than after the declaration of results.
