Go Zambia Go..... eyes on the ball. Remember you are playing against the most feared team in Africa and the most fancied by many football pudits. Remember your game. Level headedness. The harder they come, you know the better they fall. It has been proven. They might be superior tactically but, let them shiver a bit. They will bring in their goal keeper ( Who is probably the best in Africa) They will bring in all their stars in the name of Asamoah Gyan ( The best striker in Africa so far) They will bring in Kelvin prince boating( very tactical on the middle of the park) They will also get the services of Andre and Jordan AYEW who tormented us in the 2012 Africa cup. Remember their real captian Micheal essien. He is a physical player who can score darling goals and excerllent on the middle of the park. They shall also bring in experience in their number 4. Agyaman Badu is also another hot footballer who can score from any angle and distance. Samuel Inkoom is also excerllent in his runs. Very good overlapping defender. These are the players Zambia will ned to watch for including the car dealer Sauley muntari. Don't wory about John boye who misses penalts when it matters most. Remember they are a good team worth emulating.

Very intelligent analysis. Im A ZAMBIAN but I love Ghana. If Ghana does not go through it will be very very bad. If Zambia goes through it will be very very good. I have a bit of advice to Ghana as well. Do not be too overconfident.Play your game and things will be okey. If YOU aim at coming strong at Zambia you will be shocked what will happen. You will overrun Zambia but be careful. you defence might be yawning and we score. If we score one goal, Ghana will be under extreme pressure. As a result, you will be wanting to score and probably impress but if you yawn again we will have no choice but to get another goal. Remember Senegal underrated us and We got them by surprise. Ivory Cost underrated us but we come out superior. Ghana of all teams also should have won that game and met Ivory cost in the final but they underrated Zambians. My HUMBLE ADVICE is play your game and make sure use your set pieces nicely and be victorious. I WOULD WANT Ghana to go through myself so as to go and play against Suarez country. That goal which the Liverpool forward held and wad sent away in 2010 leaves fresh memories in my mind and still lingers on. Ghana out played, outshined the south American team in 2010 in South Africa. It is for the betterment of football that I want Ghana to go through and not any other country. If there were selecting only one country in Africa, I would still go for Ghana. Zambia and Ghana should be in the same group in the future. Otherwise humiliations are bound to happen. These two countries should always play some final and may be some friendly games. I wish both countries the good of luck. May we rally behind EACH OTHER. However we shall meet on the terraces.

3 points will be bagged in favour of the gold cost should they handle the pressure well. I said once we score first as Zambians, there will be more pressure for Ghana to equlise. Weather you know it or not, the pressure is on Ghana. The black Star of Africa MUST beat Zambia. The score line will not matter. A draw in Kumasi is just as good as saying Ghana will not have beaten Zambia for three consecutive Games. So Zambia will still come out superior of the two. I KNOW Ghana wanted teams like Bafana bafana because you always damage them shamelessly but this time around its the southern African football powerhouse vrs the enviable , lucrative and stylish gold cost. Which ever way you look at it Ghana has a point to prove in Kumasi at babayara stadium.

My brother Konafidekman its not only Ghana 's aim to qualify but also Zambia's. I have said it already and I may need to repeat, the pressure is on Ghana and the black stars MUST win.Ghana's football is by far superior than the southern African football powerhouse Zambia. But THAT SHOULD NOT LEAVE ROOM for complecancy of any form. Ghana still has a point to prove. Ghana is the best team in Africa and is fancied by many but if you lose and forfeit this chance you will be out of favour for some time. For me the results in Kumasi for Zambia doesn't matter what will matter is weather Ghana will get the points needed in Kumasi to progress to the next round. Here Zambia are not favourites Ghana are. That explains the pressure. Besides, Ghana has been to the world cup, Zambia has never been. Furthermore Ghana has won the AFCON 5 TIMES but Zambia only managed once. The game will be played in Kumasi at Babayara stadium. Zambia is getting there as underdog, but that is not to say Zambia cannot come out from Kumasi with a result. It must be noted that for Zambia to come out with a positive result from Babayara, will all depend on Ghana. However I still think both teams have a chance and more than 70 percent in favor of the black stars. This all explains the pressure Ghans has especially looking at the previous records. You have one of the best goal keepers in Africa and Zambai can boast of a shot stopper in Kennedy Mweene. On The Defensive side I think you totoured Zambia in the Africa cup 2012 but without results though. Ghana is stronger, in my opinion on the middle of the park. Upfront Ghana bost of the best strikers Africa over! But Zambia defence will try and deal with all those fierce strikers you have. Currently we are studying all your tactics in the field of play. We have videos where Ghana has been at their best and Worst. As the for Zambians this time we mean business for Ghanaians. We are not looking back. Bring all your adorable stars into the team.

As for me, Zambia robbed you of the championship in 2012. But without dwelling much on that, you have a point when you say revenge is not the main issue but the WC QUALIFICATION. But for Ghana to qualify the revenge must be done first. Probably Zambia wont win in Kumasi. If Zambia wins in Kumasi it will dent your name as the best team on the continent in my opinion. If Gold cost wins two big things will happen. You will have revenged and you will also almost qualified to the world cup in Brazil. I for one want Ghana go to represent Africa. And if this happens it might even reach the quarter finals. But if Zambia qualifies, it will be first round exit!!! So Ghana has to apply all the pressure on this game. This is the only huddle that is remaining for Ghana. Its just in the months time Zambia will face the stars of Ghana. After 90 minutes, we shall conclude and put everything to rest. May be meet in the final at the Africa Cup of nations in 2015 who knows.Ihave been with ghanains in Russia, they are very disciplined people. but to get news of indiscipline of some ghanainas footballers shocks me. Sometimes I don't even read these aticles when such things happen. But all in all we are brothers. Let this football unite us.

You got it all wrong, that, a draw will not be enough for Ghana. Going to the world cup is more prestigious than going on record to have beaten Zambia. Which one would you choose if you were in our shoes.

We need only a draw to go through. But it will be dangerous to play for a draw. We must pull everyone behind the ball and defend well. We must play on the break with swift counterattacks to break down their defence. We must make good use of set pieces.

Even that draw you are talking about will be difficault. You just have to win the game. If Ghana does not score and Zambia doesn't, Zambia will have dented Ghanaz name in football a bit.

You got it all wrong, that, a draw will not be enough for Ghana. Going to the world cup is more prestigious than going on record to have beaten Zambia. Which one would you choose if you were in our shoes.
Interesting article. Worth reading over and over again. I however disagree with the contention that we underestimated the Zambians hence our loss to them. Fact is they played better. We lost to a better side.
if kwesi appiah was not there, then he needs to read this article.
everything is in there.

Thanks for the great comments, everyone. Pala, thanks for the compliment, but I am not a coach although I worked with a (student) football team during my college days. I was also a football referee in Cape Coast as well. The ...

This comment is great. Where are the Ghanian players?
History always repeats itself. Both teams are competitive and no walk overs. Will wait for the 90min to decide, but as a zambia i know ,we are as tough as they come.
WE WILL GHANA WILL SEND THEM TO KITWE NEAR LUMUMBASHI BORDER
No complacency please. If Ghana prepares for this upcoming match the way they prepared for Sudan and Lesotho, then the Zambians are in big trouble. Please GFA wake up. Let the Black Stars continue to prepare quietly and then ...

Even that draw you are talking about will be difficault. You just have to win the game. If Ghana does not score and Zambia doesn't, Zambia will have dented Ghanaz name in football a bit.
That was very realistic analysis of this make-or-break game.A wonderful piece worth reading.Bro Enock ,give us more of this insightful analysis on other socio -economic and political issues.
Wondeful analysis. good comments

Kick the legs of Essien, Panstil and Prince and Zambia would have won the game. End result: Zambia 2:Ghana 1. How it will happen, I don't know God alone knows. Go Chipolopolo.Slow down the Gunners/Ghanas.
Impeccable and very refreshing indeed.
Zambia have been very lucky in their last two games against us. They wont this time. It has to be a third time lucky for Ghana, come on. Yes, luck does play a chunky part in football but only sometimes, not all the time. W ha ...
