If Amidu is a maverick, it means he is rebelling against the norm and belief within the NDC party that those in power must loot the state coffers for themselves and for their party. Wyome among other gargantuan looter of the depleted state coffers financed the NDC party.
We believe that the word maverick has been used wrongly here to describe Amidu. The Amidu type is what Africans need at the moment and that is why he seems to enjoy grassroots support of members of all the parties. Amidu is a national hero because he did what governments and institutions in charge of protecting the nation's depleted coffers failed to do their work. Those who believe that Ghanaians and Africans would even vote for a "monkey" in a Mercedes Benz, will have to re-examine their beliefs because Amidu has shown us the way and the impact is greater than party affiliations.

Some uncritical partisan hacks descended on Togbe Dawu for merely asking a question that ought to engender a serious debate about the differing mindsets of the various political factions and the fruits they bear.
Today, Nana Okonkwo Bannermann has plagiarized Togbe Dawu's presentation here on SIL. he has passed it off as a feature article without as much as passing reference to Togbe Dawu. But am not bothered; it won't be the first time they passed off Dawu's SIL presentation as their own.
So today, let's Sankofa a bit and join Onukpa Okonkwo Bannermann in asking.....WHERE'S NPP'S MARTIN AMIDU.
