I support this call. Amidu unlike our many politicians has proven to be a patriotic Ghanaian and that is what Ghana needs now. Our major problem as a nation is corruption. The President and his appointees are corrupt, parliament is corrupt, state institutions are corrupt, almost everybody is corrupt. At least with someone like Amidu, our resources shall be safe. Wake up Ghana.

For Martin Amidu to forget about his stomach, his family, his job; and to oppose the judgement debt payouts, provide information on it and be the plaintiff in the case, is outstanding. He will make an excellent President.

THAT WAS WHEN MILLS & HIS TEAM STARTED LOOKING AT AMIDU WITH A EYE OF SUSPICION. AND INDEED, IT HAS HAPPEN. With the exception of Kwame Nkrumah, almost all the cabinet ministers in the first regime had their bellies filled. Gbedemah, Krobo Edusei, and the list goes on. General J.A Ankrah was driven out of office because of such carnal behavior. Afrifa, they say had his mouth full and if you don't believe me, simply ask the J.J. Rawlings and his AFRC team and they will confirm why they deserved the firing squad.
Even J.J. Rawlings who passed the greatest retribution on the guilty is not innocent.
Check this out; Amidu has done very well and deserves all the commendation. But the question is: Can Amidu stay "clean" when he gets the power? I doubt it.

The more people become floored by this Amidu story and the adulation that has followed since the more one gets to understand the moral decadence Ghanaians have endured over the years.
Since when is it acceptable for government (via its MP's, MCE, DC's cabinet Judiciary, office of the presidency and etc) to engage in contracts in clear violation of Ghana's constitution to receive services/benefits from private entities and individuals? It continues to baffle me why people are going bananas over Amidu to the extent some think he is fit to be president of a he goat's club in Ghana. There are only two simple facts that have eluded Ghana since 1966 and those facts are slowly coming home to roost. Freedoms are either absolute nor come cheap. Secondly, freedoms are not given but earned and have to be defended and sustained.
While Martin Amidu may be an island of Ghana's moral foundation in a sea of corrupt and contemptible Ghanaian political and educate elite landscape, his acts are ordinary. People who are intentionally ignoring the sources and cause of Ghana's ongoing judgment debt brouhaha, the NPP leaders under Kufour and the Rawlings/Atta Mills era are not only hypocrites but cowardly hypocritical to call Martin Amidu a hero worth a dime. Every person or private entity that seemed to have received judgment debt relief did so through the courts of Ghana and not from some banana republic. And every one of these courts is under the umbrella of Ghana's Supreme Court headed by Georgina Woods. If these lower courts would render decision in favor of individuals and private entities against the nation without understanding the foundations from which the courts draw its legal powers then Ghana cannot and must not rely on the courts to render justice neither should the Martin Amidus who practice law before it. And if Martin Amidu and the Justices on Ghana's Supreme Court really want to redeem their rather mediocre standing they ought to expose each person or government agency/agent who negotiated any piece of document that was purported to be an MOU or contract between government and vendors/contractors in order to establish once and for all the ground rules of what is and is not acceptable as base contracts. For Martin Amidu and Kufour era thieves to use the name of the government to extract political contributions through phony/illegal contract only for companies to be left holding the bag is a contemptuous process Martin Amidu and the Supreme Court of Ghana cannot be allowed to hold themselves out as heroes for anyone. It demeans Ghana and it surely reflects a nation that is in desperate need of people with principles and moral backbone.
