Were you trying to say "Make BELIEVE" instead? I've never heard of "make-belief" before.
Regarding your article and its disjointed narrative style:
What is the connection between the creative arts and tourism as you crow about in your article? You never made a case for it or explained it.
First you talk about a Nigerian Minister with a huge Ministerial budget and its implications for Nollywood.
You contrast that huge budget with Ghana's tourism Ministry. You list a couple of successful Ghanaian actors and their wealth.
After laboriously going through your entire article, I came up with nothing that depicted your "make belieF" underlying theme. And what am I to make of Jackie Appiah's fleet of cars? How is that related to tourism? And what part of creative arts relates to tourism?
You also alluded to people coming from far away lands to float in our lagoons? Kwesi, don't you think they've read about elephantiasis and other bugs in our dirty lagoons? Or is that the "make belieF" you're talking about?
I think this article is smoke and mirrors and truly a staged "make belieF".
And then you write:
"The Grace Norteys and McJordan Amarteys have reason to regret for choosing a career in theatre arts"
So because of Jackie Appiah or whoever's glitter jewels, someone has to regret their occupational choice?
Let me try do some make belieF regrets of my own-
Kwesi Tawiah-Benjamin's winning of journalistic awards and countless book prizes make me regret choosing the career of Ghanaweb critic. BTW its all make-believe.
