1.it wasn't really prepared i.e didn't give it a serious thought about the constitutional/electoral procedures/legality and understanding of the case.
2.produced documents without any thought of being able to justify/prove it in court
3.inflated the documentation to their own detriment-time and laegal challenges
3.was somehow, presented in court by advocates with narrow knowledge and lack of experience in the field of the matter in court.
4. used Bawumiah, who though may sound good in theory, unfortunately has narrow understanding and little clue about court proceedings, the law how the court works. The court is only interested in the facts, and how you produce the evidence. he court is not interested in personal opinions otherwise no professor/learned person, or an expert would lose a court case.
5.both their witness and advocate behave disrespectfully to the honourable justices of the bench.
6.the use of their media men and media house to give distorted reports of the court hearings and the violent and disrespectful manner to smear the honourable justices and the defence advocates were a disgrace and unprofessional to say the least.
7.to some extent both parties petitioner and defence sympathisers have prejudiced the case by their unwarranted utterances but more so the abuse and insult by owusu afriyie , awuku, gabby and so was not creditable to NPP.
8.NPP thought the case would take about a week or two but because of their poor assessments I am sure they have now realise the mis-interpretation of the case.
9.NPP seemed to rely only on the 'pin sheet' in targeted areas without any consideration to methodology and modality of the whole voting equation including verification and other rules and regulation as stipulated and agreed by all the political parties.
10.underestimated the quality and the legal capacity of the defence advocates.
NPP is constitutional right to go to court but in every action, one must seriously consider the gains and losses. In this case, to the people of Ghana which NPP wished to serve first and the party second. AL Gorr,s situation in US is an example. Prof. Mills, when Jake unconstitutionally declared Kuffuor a winner was another example. The wise always learns from the mistakes he/she makes by corrections. A good leader of a good party must always bring the people together to fight a common cause and build the nation together for the future.
