The university graduates in charge of education in Ghana are so useless and incompetent that politicians easily take them for a ride. This is why politicians manipulate the educational system at their own whims and caprices and go scot free.

Each government that comes to power plays Cinderella with our educational system. Let us revert to our 17 years' programme as that will solve and abate the youth unemployment debacle.

Many systems in South Africa folow the same system . However we missed the main thrust of producing technical and vocational personnel and still pump out academics though all are not suited and are not employable.

What sense does it make to be changing the duration of education from 3 to 4 and back to 3? All because of the heightened greed and selfishness of our leaders. Students from Ghana are currently mass-produced; they do not know anything. Even o'level dropouts from the former system are far more informed than the so called first class graduates from Legon from the SHH program. Sad!

Nigeria, Sierra Leonne and Gambia are all doing 3 years senior secondary. Why should Ghana change to 4 years? Are our children less intelligent?

You can't compare Ghana and Nigeria on the duration of the SHS. This is because Whiles the Nigerians have the JAMB entrance exams to really prepare students for tertiary education we in Ghana go straight to the university because our entrance exam collapsed. Moreover the WASSSCE in Nigeria is equivalent to the O'Level whiles in Ghana the same cert is equivalent to the A'Level. You can now see how far our useless educational system has brought us. Thanks to our useless university education.
