Our politicians have woefully failed us in every aspect of our existence. It is umimaginable that we as a country, such as Ghana, would sit down unconcerned for these sub-human beings to decend into this country and took us hostage, looting our mineral resources, destroying our forest reserves, polluting our source of drinking water and killing us without the government and the authorities saying nothing about it. And we called ourselves an independent Nation! What is it that made us careless about our own survival as a nation? Has this also got to do with the usual type of politicking in this country ? Don´t we have the right to live a normal life in our own land? I think the time has come for us as individual and a nation as a whole to do everything within our powers to address this situation. The government has refused to quarantee our safety as enshrine in our constitution, therfore the only option left for us is to to defend ourselves from these violent and invading Chinese. Posterity will not forgive us if we should fail to do just that. Ghana is the only country we have and it is just right to protect her. I called on all Ghanaians to go out against these Chinese, regardless of who brought them into the country. Attack them at will and if pòssible kill them! I don´t care what name somebody would call me right now.If that is what Mahama and his allies want, they will surely have it. Please, don´t get me wrong, I am a hundered percent NDC man who voted for the party but I think it is becoming too much. The insensitivity is becoming too mcuh to bear.Ghana first! Who dare these rats( Chinese) to try this in Nigeria? It can only happen in Ghana becasue after all, our useless and hopeless so called chiefs are also part of this problem and are supporting them to destroy this country. What a country!

The heart of Ghanaians are bleeding and we are crying out to our Government to deliver us from these callous Chinese illegals. There is nothing for free in this world. We as a country are continually begging others to do things for us. If we need to build a dam, we ask the Chinese, if we need a presidential mansion, we beg them to do it for us. Whenever are we going to ween ourselves from this begging syndrome and start doing things for ourselves? Our successive Governments have reduced us to paupers so everyone comes in to exploit us and in the process kill, maim and rape our mothers and sisters and turn our countryside into wastelands. We have to review our relationship with China. We have to register in the strongest terms our displeasure to the Chinese Government. The law must descend heavily on the corrupt officials and their Ghanaian hoodlums who facilitate these illegals in their destructive acts. The politicians and institutions concerned must take full blame for letting these people in. We pay our law makers so much to safeguard our sovereignty yet they continue to take grafts. It is time to act otherwise as my dear author said, Ghanaians will take the law into their own hands to defend themselves from these undesirables. Ghanaians deserve better ''YEN ARA YASASE NI, EYE ABOO DENDEN MA YEN!

I have been following more or less these news about so-called Chinese illegal miners and Fulani cattle herds. The comments and articles simply DO NOT reflect the truth of what is happening on the ground.
Take this article for instance. The writer seemed to have somehow missed the portion of the news which said that the mine where the Chinese work was owned buy a Ghanaian, who is a boundary dispute with another Ghanaian who decided to take the law into his own hands by sending macho men to beat up the Chinese purported to have strayed into his land. If I were the Chinese and had a gun, I'd have shot those machomen too! Most of you here too would have done same! Shoot the lawless machomen!
Now, are there indeed illegal Chinese miners in Ghana? That's, Chinese who travelled all the way from China, then trekked to somebody's land or farm in the gold mining areas, with their machinery in tow, and then started mining gold??? C'mmon, folks, you can't be that daft to believe that. Are you?
What we have in Ghana are Chinese workers with certain small scale mining skills WHO HAVE BEEN HIRED by some chiefs and rich Ghanaians in cahoot with some chiefs to come and work in Ghana. In some cases, Chinese businessmen have taken the initiative by forging links with some chiefs to bring in machinery to mine. This method of small scale mining is far advanced compared to the local galamsey using shovels, spades and pans. So in short, there are no real Chinese illegal miners, unless there is a law that foreigners should NOT be EMPLOYED to work in THE SMALL SCALE MINING SECTOR. I am against such a law in the retail sector and thus will be against any such law in the mining sector too.
The Fulani herders also fall within the same ambit as the Chinese miners: they simply look after cattle owned by Ghanaians! They have been part of our animal husbandry for a long, long time, dating back centuries at certain parts of Ghana. Cattle rearing is a major vocation in the southern VR, restricted now to around the Battor area and some other places and Fulanis have always been the ones to look after the cattle. The Fulanis are paid in with heifers and the milk they get from the cows. What is happening now are two fold devts causing the conflicts.
First, population expansion means pressure on traditional grazing land, now partly farm lands. The cattle therefore easily stray into such farms to eat crops in the absence of fencing.
Secondly, it appears the sons of these Fulanis, some of them who have acquired basic education, are not ready to follow in their fathers' footsteps. They have been sucked into the get rich quick mentality of their Ghanaian neighbours and the general waywardness. They have therefore been teaming up with the local thugs or acting on their own to engage in highway robbery!
I heard from a Nigerian friend that a similar decay is happening there, with Fulanis now major smugglers across the Niger border. From people known as honest and trustworthy persons you can leave your money with, they are now gradually being perceived as miscreants! Now, I won't go into the social dynamics of this evolution and how to combat negative trends, as this will turn into an article of its own. But suffice it to say that the attacks on the Chinese and Fulanis are uninformed, xenophobic and totally misplaced.

Mahama is corrupt to the hilt and I blame Atta Mills for taking NDC to the far right because of his hatred for military regimes; yet, he accepted to be Jerry's Vice. He never listened to the party Founder for a day. The most diabolic NDC member we had was Atta Mills. Mahama is the kind of neo-colonailists Nkrumah wrote in one of his threatise. "Ghana for sale to the lowest bidder;" - the mantra of Mahama agenda and it includes up to selling off MBG, possibly TOR, GOIL for self agrandisement. Ghanaians must resist him by any means. We will not let him degrade Ghanaians. No way, No how.
