I agree that he is better when he has the field in front of him. Unfortunately for him, Rabiu Mohammed has established that he is better as the defensive midfielder so Kwadwo Asamoah might have to be the left back. To be ho ...

Anokwale, my dissention is from what you rightly identified with regards to Rabiu. You will also bear me out that he needs a person in the caliber of Asamoah to be effective in his role as defensive midfielder and I believe A ...

I guess I am in the minority in that I seem to have liked the way Kwadwo played at the left back at AFCON. I like to think it is an advantage to have a left back or right back who is also a legitimate offensive threat. I th ...

I agree with this writer. I have always thought that Kwadwo Asamoah is not being deployed in ways that will bring the best out of him. I seem to think that the suggestion in this article is right on the money.

  • John Enu 11 years ago

Asamoah can be best in-front, i wish Coach Kwasi Appiah could use him infront

    Good article

  • MYSELF 11 years ago

The suggestion is not bad. Alongside Wakaso/Muntari on the left, Adomah/S Asante(provided he works on his strength) on the right, Asomoah Gyan in the Middle(no. 10) and Waris/Mahatma leading the attack who knows?

  • Yaw Asare 11 years ago

ABSOLUTELY,Kwadwo's Natural position is to play as an 'OFFENSIVE MIDFIELDER'!

  • wilson 11 years ago

use him as a left full back. @ that position he created a goal, he scored a goal in so many years.

Folks Kwadjo Asamoah is the main chip in the team. But he needs someone to identify this wonderful talent that he has. Remember the number 10 Ayews controversy. He chickend off straight away and took nr.20. But i still think ...

There was no controversy. He is simply a weakling who chickened out. Please this attitude of lining the Ayews up for criticism @ the least opportunity is unacceptable.

Chris Opoku, you've made my day. I agree with you 300%; our problem is that the coach and his assistant cannot think constructively, they are copycats who put Kwadwo Asamoah at full back just because his team is using him in ...

ASAMOAH IS VERY TALENTED AND WE HAVEN'T SEEN HIS PEAK YET. I AGREE WITH THE WRITER!

  • ST. KWAKU 11 years ago

Chris, I think for once I totally disagree with you. I see Kwadwo Asamoah as one poster described, a complete 'weakling'who is being overly pampered by Ghanaians. For all the over 50 games that he has played for the BS, he ha ...

You hit the nail right on the Spot pal! Kwadwo Asamoah is simply OVERATED!! He hasn't done sqat for the Black Stars since CAN 2010. A Playmaker indeed! This guy makes me miss Appiah soooo bad!

  • GHFUO, BE SERIOUS NOT PRIDEFUL! 11 years ago

ONLY 2 SPOTS KWADWO ASAMOAH CAN PLAY ON THE FIELD IS THIS

11 OR NUMBER 8. ANYTHING LESS WILL BE VERY STUPID AND DUMB.

  • NANA-BEE 11 years ago

The formation 4-3-3 can be good for the Black Stars. Kwadwo can be useful at the middle of the mid-field. Let's try this formation when playing friendly game.

I concur Chris. I have been thinking about the saaaaame issue for a looong time now, and your analysis is just spot on. I hope someone is listening! We are simply under-utilizing this brilliant chap.

  • MMB 11 years ago

Yes, I believe he should be used as and offensive midfielder

  • Fiifi 11 years ago

"After a brief chat with Appiah and his assistant Maxwell Konadu, what I was able to glean from the conversations that we had was that Asamoah loves to play with the majority of the pitch in front of him so that at will, he c ...

Chris, I think your are right but I gather and you admit that currently it is the role a player is given and how he fit into that role is the thrust here, players start playing in a particular role and assume that is their be ...

not bad its high intensity for Asamoah to play back and front to see his capability of his strength for black star
