This medical examination COST OF BETWEEN 50 AND 100 GHC PER STUDENT IS A RIP OFF AND MUST BE ABOLISHED IMMEDIATELY..... how can the north be so tolerant when their own kind steal and loot from them BUT YET COMPLAIN SO MUCH ABOUT CORRUPTION ELSEWHERE? look at the abuse of SADA MONIES WHICH HAS ONLY INFURIATED SOUTHERNERS BUT NOT NORTHERNERS. and now listen to this rip off right on the university campus by authorities......... this must stop. the victims are from very poor families so please stop this looting of the poor....... this is most outrageous indeed.

What you should have done is to find out from the authorities why they don't make the medical report available the students before writing your article. In my view you are just painting the university black. Do your work well compare the conducts of Uds and other universities before drawing your conclusions. It is upto to you to find and publish a more comprehensive article on that

It is based on non-factual postulates and only confirms how some group of northerners are harbouring an ganeda of hatred and envy for the Naa gbewaa decendants. If not, why single out the decendants of the latter to say that you thought they were the problem?
Where were you when right from the first VC, there were clear audit reports of corruption? The same happened under the second VC and nothing was wrong with that. Now we have a Dogomba VC who so far has not been found by any audit ereport to be corrupt and see what some of you are saying. Tell me which audit report has found the VC corrupt. Some of you just have your own agenda agianst Dagombas but I am assuring you that you can't do anything other than getting the appropriate response if Dagombas get fed up of your jealous and envious ways. You can't unmake Dagombas. We know a lot about you just that we just let sleeping dogs lie. You cannot withstand our actions if we decide to take those actions but sometime we just want peace among northerners. Be careful however, that we can strike if these kind of stupid behaviours continue.
Some few years ago, an Archbishop coming from among you exhibited some ignorance in the Catholic newspaer saying that Dagombas were cheating and marginalising others (Konkuombas). It was mischievous without any truth associated with what he was saying. If anything at all Dagombas have at least introduced Komkombas to leadership style as found in the chieftaincy institution. People don't even know this but rather turn to fabricate stories ignorantly. Indeed, the bishop's showed ignorance and mischieve in his article and we could have taken him all without any challenge. In his home area, people always treat settlers with contempt and wicked acts and what does he say about that? You are occupying Sissala lands and don't respect them, what do you say about that?You use derrogatory language on Sissalas, what do you say about that? Even among you, those from Nandom see themselcves as superior and what do you say about that? We know a lot about you and if we decide to write you will run and hide so be careful.

You have not been fair to the university authorities by assuming that the non-disclosure of student medical reports is wrong.You have not also told us whether the contracted medical team is not doing a good job or operating contrary to known university regulations.You seem to suggest that you are bitter because your tribe do not have absolute power in the administration of the unversity.Tell us what Prof. Dittor did when he was Pro.Vice of the university to suggest that the institude was for Frafra.Have you taken a head count of frafras as against other Ghanaian ethnic groups and come to your shallow conclusion?As for the nonsense about the Dagombas, the least said about it the better.You simply hate the Dagombas and one seem not to understand why.Is it because a son of the land finds himself as the V.C? Pls be analytical for once. Because i think the two of you have problem understanding simple grammer that is why you chose to attack the writer instead of commending him for doing something a lot of people would find difficult to do. Besides, he talked about Dagombas, Dagaabas (his own tribe) and Fraras (his playing mates). why would u suggest that he wish it was a Dagaaba man who was the VC. Also, he didn't say it anywhere in the article that the current VC is corrupt. He only ask a question which many people have been asking and the best you can do, is to say he doesn't like Dagombas. How can he hate his own cousins, the Dagombas?

In 2009 shortly after the new UDS Council was announced this same Joseph Ziem wrote a similarly bigoted piece in the Daily Guide questioning the appointed of Dr A. B. Salifu as Chairman of the council. His beef was that the VC Prof Haruna is Dagomba. It looked like he had just dropped from Mars, otherwise he would have remembered that not long before then, when Prof Kaburise was VC, the Pro VC was Prof DItto, the Registrar was Akumbuno, the Director of Works was Ambrose Tee and the Finance Officer Mr, Banu all from the same same area.
This was time Prof Ditto did not think that the local women in Nyankpala could also be cleaners and had to go all the way to Upper East to recruit cleaners and watchmen for the Nyankpala Campus.
And if one may ask is Ziem aware that at the Wa Campus all the Deans of the three Faculties are Dagaaba?
Ziem is simply a Dagaaba bigot.

Students have always been threatened with trail of paper anytime they attempt standing against their bad attitudes. If UDS has very strong alumini from d southern part to attend d general meeting like the other Universities do, i don't think the Alumini which is more involved by this Northerners could sit down and let this go on. Every students prayer is to finish quitely and leave. Besides the students do not involve themselves anytime one person makes an attempt to fight for what is right on behalf of all, rather they leave d person all alone in the situation. All hands should be on board and UDS will become a better place.
