Contrary to popular opinion its not natural resources that turns to riches.True riches come from effort/hardwork/diligence and not from idlers cashing in on gettin stuff off the ground.Thats why Nigeria though getting 2m barrels per day cannot compare to UAE in riches or Zambia be comparable to Chile yet they both produce copper. The day Ghanaians realize their biggest resource is thru placing rigid demands on the population and place lesser emphasis on natural resources is when Ghana shall take off.Placing all your hopes on gold/oil is dumb bcoz it becomes a curse.Only those who place their hopes and very demanding goals on the people
(as opposed to waiting on resources to do the trick for you get ahead)actually advance in life.

national security is always at risk when the govt of the day is tribalist , amateur , incompetent , corrupt and doesnt have the confidence of the majority of the people as is the case today because of election engineering and rigging. however if they are able to reaffirm that they are willing and able to adhere to the interests of the people instead of this attitude of my time has come so now i go chop some . the govt is supposed to serve all the people and not ting that the people are to serve their selfish evil motivated agendas. the unity of the nation is in jeopardy due to the ewes , northerners, gas and some ashanti retards and the best way is to after over 50 years call for a referendum as to determine which regions wish to remain in Ghana as i am sure most Akans no longer wish to be part of this nonsense. without unity and a general awareness with integrity the country can never develop

Those who choosing not to be trained but want to work in the industry are not in the term of developing the country and we nust use the right means to disciple and train more into that area

The University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa was established in November 2004 to provide higher education in mining, technology and related sciences, and to act as a catalyst for the development of mining and technology.
It was actually started in 1952 as the Tarkwa Technical Institute. In 1961, it was reorganized to become the Tarkwa School of Mines to train the required manpower for the mining and allied industries in Ghana. It was later in 1976 affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi as a faculty of the University. In 2001, it became the Western University College of KNUST. Today the campus is poised to meet the challenges of the 21st century as the University of Mines and Technology.
Although a young University, UMaT is one of the top universities in the nation. Located at about 89km from Takoradi, the Western Regional Capital and off the high way, UMaT is accessible, safe and friendly. UMaT also offers students a balance of educational excellence and real-world experience. Known for its mining related programs UMaT also offers degrees in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science and Engineering
