It would have been far more progressive if the author had focused on ways of improving the performance of schools in the Bawku environs rather than this daft preoccupation with changing the names of poorly performing educational institutions. Can someone explain to us less bright Ghanaians how changing the name of a below par educational institution will improve its performance and thereby help the youth of the area? All we keep hearing from this underperforming area is NATIONALIST NONSENSE. The writer and others would be better off concentrating on promoting unity amongst the diverse tribal groups rather than promoting parochial interests of particular tribes which only inflame tensions. I would like to think that President Mahama is continuing to keep tabs on the situation in the Bawku area.
