Our attitude and mentality of whom you know have demanage every institution in the country as whole not only football.PHD which is known as pull him down, nepotism, tribalism, greedness, corruption are the main factors. There is no need sending anyone to europe for training, what we need is establishing competent training schools for footballers who wants to be a coach etc, etc. How did the europeans get where they are NOW tooday........If I MAY ASK? No Coach trained Yara,Osei kofi, Aggrey Fynn, Oblitey Commey, Addo Odamtey,Mfum,Adarkwa,Salisu,Acquah etc, etc. Unfortunately space wouldn't allow me to name all the greatest players of yester years. In short, the players were just good.Unfortunately ,during those years, the demand of African Professional footballers were not in demand, and they could play far better than these so called young "Johnny just come lately Players. We should not put emphasis on the coaches as the players are not all that GOOD.

On the 6th of march, 1973 the late General Ignatius Kutu Acheampong, decorated him at the independece square with the "MOV" Movement of the Order of the Volta award for his achievements on and off the field of soccer. The sunday after the decoration, "Sunday Mirror" a sister new paper of the Daily Graphic at that time also confered on him the title "Sir" and he's been known as such ever since. He's "Sir"by Ghana not by Buckinham palace. Hope this helps?
