It is absolutely disheartening to hear Dagomba Youth ever-ready to trademark themselves with violence. What do you expect the Pres to do when the same people decide to be killing themselves at will and destroying their own property? The time is ripe for all Northerners to recognize that disputes of all kinds are not helpful. The youth must be fully responsible. Just imagine when Haruna was not yet appointed a minister; youth went on vandalizing posters of their own party. What a nonsensical act? The youth must reason up!

This very NPP when they wanted power in 2000 for Kuffour gave this very message and predominant dagombas went to radio stations and campaigned. After getting power the VP who shd be turning in his grave now listing did nothing to prevent the killing of prominent dagombas. It is even believed that he sent soldiers to kill one of the very people who helped him in radio discussions during the 2nd round of the elections. So how do we Andanis believe Akilu now. NO matter what, he is an Abudu with the same wicked intentions against Andanis. Development without peace is for who to enjoy, ghost or what? Akilu Sayibu, I am not sure if you were being diplomatic by describing the rivalry between the two royal factions in Dagbon as competition. What is happening between the Abudu and Adani royal families is hatred for each other. May I ask you, what sort of competition involves the murder of a king, his decapitation and dismembering of his body parts as well as the loss of many lives and property on both sides? That was barbaric and cannot be competition.
In fact, competition is healthy for development and not necessary bad but I can assure you that if what I read in the Ghanaian media is accurate, then what is happening in Dagbon is hatred and competition. Referring such barbarism as competition is part of the problem and not the solution so you have started on a wrong foot.

At least they are paying dearly for supporting that dastardly act in 2002. We the andanis have been weeping ever since. First get it straight that other NR tribes also deserve the RM position as of right and not because the Dagombas are fighting.Secondly, which of the two traditions CPP/NDC and UP/NPP have achieved their agenda in Dagbon with the shedding of innocent blood? Ofcourse it is the UP/NPP who have their hands dripping ininnocent Dagbon blood. Remember 1969/70 and 2002. What have Adanis done to deserve this murder of their sons from the hands of the powers that be? In the current SC petition, the NPP are yelling, "no peace without justice". Fine. But have the Adanis seen justice? So how can there be peace? My heart moves very much for the late Ya Na and his elders, the gruesome way they were killed, but let no come to add insult to injury, if denying these NPP candidates the MP seats is the only way to exact some measure of justice for the lost souls, so be it.

For someone like me born in 1986, I had absolutely no knowledge about what Abudu and Andani meant. I have friends- and infact my best friend is on the otherside whilst i am on the other side. Our friendsip hasn't suffered a bit fom this. My fiance is also deeply in another side; and I am on another side; it doesn't affect our relationship. What I a m trying t tell you is that there was a Generation in Dagbon who had no idea what this meant and realy never cared anyway about it; if 2002 was prevented, Dagbang was gradually getting to a point when this Abudu and Andani things wouldnt have been taken serious by a generation of Dagbamba. But now a generation is what it will take to get us out this mess created by selfish and self serving divide and rule politicians. There is a place to start this healing. The 1st step is for the Abudus to tone down their language perhaps leading to some form of Apology; I very much doubt this will happen; though you ve started to tone down your utterances; I very much doubt f it is not just for political purposes. Continue though genuin or not we still need his utterances since they don't disturb the peace in Dagbang
