It is the job,of or as members of parliament, to legislate with an eye to the long term future, to look over the horizon beyond the next election and ensure that as far as they can what they do today will make GHANA a better place, a safer place, for future generations to live in.

You have written well. Going to court is a very good thing so we may all know what went wrong(or right) to stengthen our democracy and correct things for future elections. Even in well developed countries where these Bio....whateter machines are used, there are still inherent errors and i am sure the errors being pointed out in Gh run through all the regions including those that the boycotting MPs won to sit in Parliament. To boycott their legitimate duty and still take salary is criminal(i hold to my opinion). When Drs who run 24/7 go on strike, there is everything criminal about it.But when MPs walk out of Parliament then it is not.Is that not double standards?? So why did they take the housing allowance which was sanctioned ultimately by the same president??? The other intriguing part of the parliament is that they seem to get cash for doing the same duty that they are paid for,why is that? See the comment of thedeputy majority chief cane(whip). It means there is money even when they BREATH AIR or COUGH and at the end of the month they are still paid. God save us!!!
As for the boycotting it is simply nauseating and disturbingly cruel to the constituents and the nation at large.

Excellent write up. Duty to constituency and country vrs duty to party. The choice is obvious for any sane person.
