Your blog is not like most of the blogs that I read on the Internet, and I like the style of what you are presenting here. I have started my own blog and website. There was a place to include an email and address, so I have done that. It seems to be customary to include these so I hope that its ok with you. TheVeryBest2You 13 9

Will you stop stoking the fire! It makes no damn sense. Enough of yesterday. Na past glories we go chop? Ghanaians are eager to know about solutions for today's problems.
There are other versions of yesterday's events but we're so passionate whenever we talk about them we reopen the old wounds that never heal and which divide instead of uniting us.
Some of the people we love to talk about are dead.Rawlings is the only one living but he's a footnote. Can we just talk about the living who're relevant to our present circumstances and immediate past history ?
Times have changed and the challenges are new. When we have successfully found the solutions to today's problems we'd be able to do a juxtaposition and determine how far we've come and make a judgement. Talking ad nauseam about an era that more than a half of the population never experienced makes you look like someone mired in the distant past, helplessly destitute and with nothing new to offer.
We are very passionate about our leaders . Their names are desecrated when others talk ill of them. Let's talk about what unites us rather than what separates us.

Mother Ghana Oh! Mother Ghana! How did we get to this point? How has a nation with so much rrocueses embarked on such self-destruction? This piece needs to be published in the national dailies and be made required reading for all Ghanaians. The fact is we treading on very dangerous grounds and sooner or later if the trend continues we will surely cross that dreadful line into mayhem. Presently Ghana needs a strong, dynamic visionary who will understand and work towards national reconciliation. To say that Ghana is polarized is perhaps an understatement but you are right on the money Mr Dankwa and I applaud you.

No, NDC is not Nkrumaist. Nobody is deceived by that. But the question is whether what we have as CPP now is really CPP and is also really Nkrumaist? That is doubtful too.
The party has been blaming its long forced absence from Ghanaian politics for its present deplorable predicament. How long can they continue on that line? Those elements who claim genuine adherence to Nkrumaism cannot even unite under one umbrella. They are split and have become very weak. They cannot organize when when one of Nkrumah's greatest strengths is his ability to organize from the grassroots up albeit with a bit of arm twisting.
It is now clear that Nkrumah's ideas, no matter how strong they were, have not been able to sustain the party. It is also now doubtful if the CPP could have survived Nkrumah's death under natural circumstances i.e. even if Feb 24th 1966 had not happened. But that is a theoretical matter.
What we see today is the increasing irrelevance of CPP as a party but the continuing admiration for the best that Nkrumah stood for. That is why anybody can now claim to be Nkrumaist (including even some elements of NPP - what is free SHS if it is not blatantly Nkrumaist?). But worst of all, there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of CPP's dark tunnel. The glory days of CPP seem to be gone forever. Nkrumaism will continue to be an ideal but the party that the man founded is dead and truly dead. I can't see them coming to power.
I don't see why the writer continues harping on Rawlings' inability to pass his officer's exams. That is not relevant. After all, Nkrumah too could not finish his PhD but that did not prevent him from becoming a great man. The writer also fails to see that Rawlings is absolutely without ideology and should not be mentioned when it comes to such "fine" things.

The cpp supporters who joined forces with the ndc,did so because of political convenience. As you said the cpp was banned in Ghana and Nkrumah's name and even his pictures were also outlawed.Rawlings attempt was to cripple the cpp base since he over threw the cpp disguised in another form the PNC.For tactical reasons Rawlings decided to throw the olive branch to the cpp because that could be the only way he could attract the mass movement requred behind him as a base to launch his political ambition.
Mean while the Nkrumah forces especially the young radicals who wanted to ward off the UP capitalist tradition saw in the ndc a socialist movement because of their appeal to the poor and down trodden. The initial purpose of Rawlings was not because he loves Nkrumah's ideology but because it was politically expedient to do so.One good thing though was that the pro Nkrumaist forces forced him to actually open up to Nkrumah by repealing the ban on the cpp and even went as far as rehabilitating Nkrumah in many ways including the Mausoleum and museum. In effect the relationship is that of convenience, since it is beneficial to both parties.
The euphoria of that accidental arrangement is now giving way to a subtle struggle for the heart of the ndc.The new ndc which is gaining momentum is to fully break away from Rawlings Ideological bankruptcy for a progressive Nkrumaist idiology which will fuse the sprinter Nkrumaist parties into one formidable party hopefully under the name cpp.The battle for the heart of the ndc and Nkrumaism continues.

The NDC have been hiding at the back of CPP to ask the NPP many political questions about Nkrimah. Meanwhile they PNDC tradition is worse than anything. If you think about the overthrow of Dr Limans constitutional government by these PNDC tradition, you cannot understand why they can still come out to pretend to like Nkrumah and his ideas. Dr Liman was a true Nkrumaist, but why was his government overthrown by these (P)NDC people? Shame on them. And A BIG SHAME TO AYAIGA THE PNC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE. WE ALL KNOW HE IN POLITICS FOR IS BELLY. HE IS A JOKE!!!!
