I can appreciate your concerns over the deteriorating affairs of the Bawku municipality but you're not alone. The entire nation is a disaster waiting to happen with the political leadership looking sheepishly on as ghanaians trade insults at each other and threaten to tear each other apart.Political and tribal warfare will soon engulf the nation. Tempers are already simmered and waiting to explode anytime in our faces.Political, traditional and religious leaders are either the problem or passive onlookers.
We have to pause, take a deep breadth, examine ourselves in the mirror and begin the process of re-ordering our priorities and setting new goals.
There's a marked deterioration in our values system. Many ghanaians see the quality of life in material possessions like buildings, cars, nice clothes, etc. instead of building bonds of friendship, creating a level playing field for everybody in opportunities, individual rights and the administration of justice.Instead of building bridges people are burning bridges and causing disaffection among the tribes and ethnic groups.
Without unity no nation or group of people can ever hope to progress and grow. Unity is our strength, our hope and friend. It's the launching pad for group success. Unity ushers in an era of peace and peace in turn introduces stability. These together produce the fertile soil for growth and development.
Our current system will flourish if only it'll start rewarding hardwork. Now it's rewarding mediocrity and laziness.Corruption, cronyism and nepotism have taken center stage whilst integrity, probity and accountability have all been relegated to the back stage.
We should go back to the drawing board and start talking to each other instead of talking at each other, growling, howling and barking.
