The writing is very clear on the wall: Tolerance is going to trump all of Ghana's (and Africa's) homophobes and bigots. A time will come when we will read about the homophobia of this time and be as surprised as we are today about the Catholic Inquisition and the Salem Witch Trials of several centuries ago. But it will be up to all those of good sense to hurry that period about.
It is, indeed, sad that NUGS, made up of the future, will take up such a backward and conservative viewpoints. In Europe and the USA, it is the youth who are most tolerant towards gays. These are countries which the NUGS members will all want to come and pursue further studies so they cannot tell me that it is a foreign culture. That is the very culture that is attracting them so much.
But one thing is certain: NOBODY, ABSOLUTELY NOBODY, can succeed in preventing two adults of the same sex from doing whatever they WILLFULLY want to do with each other in the secrecy of their homes. NO LAWS have ever succeeded in preventing in preventing people from being homosexuals. No laws will ever do that.
I had a similar experience of being hit on by a man at a bar when I first came to Europe some 25 years ago and felt the same abhorrence. But today, I have learnt a lot and my feelings are different. I have seen and I have learned the values of tolerance.

When that was granted to them by some politically correct politicians,they demanded more and to cut long story short they are now asking for same sex marriage.
Today,Gays in the western world are taking their freedom too far by asking to be recongnised in society like heterosexuals.
What two consenting adults do in their bedroom has nothing to do with anybody,but they should know that their odd same sex relationship in Ghana and Africa for that matter openly is unacceptable.

If you observe any two people having sex in public whether homosexuals or heterosexuals, report it to the police, that is a crime of lewdness and has nothing to do with homosexuality. I have never been enlightened so much on this topic as I am now by Dr SAS. Dr SAS, has really digested all pertinent arguments for and against encompassing religious,moral,legal and political stances on this boiling issue that, it appears only those with prejudicial minds would refuse to see sense with him. He has been able to support his argument with court cases, he has been able to do the same with biblical citations too. What else do we want to know ? Religiously, who is not a sinner and who has never sinned? Constitutionally, who should any one be denied their human rights? I don't think any individual would be able to deny the fact that we are all sinners and our rights are to enjoy inalienable.
Now, having accepted all that the Dr has said, my concern turns to the Socio-economic importance of same sex relationships. It is true that we as humans have rights to enjoy so have we the right to prevent or speak against what can potentially affect all of us as a people belonging to one nation and one DESTINY. How could a nation survive when her citizens for the sake of Human Rights are engaging in acts that would affect the security of that nation. Will we have people to sustain the economy when Gays and Lesbians are increasing with a consequential extinction of the population of the country? If all of us are allowed to engage in anything deemed private shrouded in the cloak of Human Rights which are detrimental to the basic human existance then we as ractional beings are plotting our own extinction. It is based upon this premise that I ManBelhomme would join forces with those opposed to the legalisation of Homo/Lesb practices in the country. It is said, "A wise man sees danger and runs away from it, but the foolish sees it and gets closer". Let those who want to do what they want to do in their own private spaces do without involving others but, for the sustainabilty, security and the very survial of the human race on planet earth, let no country encourage Homosexuality. The students union of Ghana are not going to be blind to blight the future of their by supporting and encouraging acts and practices that will depopulate the country.This present generation needs to be regenerated as the previous ones were. And every nation that fails to renew itself is a walking dead country. Let's wait for the day, when a man with another man can procreate and two women the same then we shall accept this phenomenon. Till that DAY I will, NEVER Ever be convinced by such a fine and intellectual Dr SAS and co.
