Woman's degradation is in man's idea of his sexual rights. As said by Elizabeth C Stanton, "Woman's degradation is in man's idea of his sexual rights. Our religion, customs and laws are all founded on the idea that woman was made for man." Every conscienceless human either woman or man have no strive for virtues. It is not only women that the society expects to do what is right. BEING REAL AS A WOMAN IS BEING ME, NOT WHAT IS LISTED AS GOOD TO SOMEONE JUST TO FIT IN WITH THEIR NEEDS OR EXPECTATIONS. OF COURSE, ALL THIS WRITER WANTS IS FOR THE GHANAIAN WOMAN TO BECOME WHAT HE PROPOSES TO BE IDEAL, THE TYPICAL PATRIARCHAL EXPECTATIONS FROM WOMEN. I ALWAYS ASK, WHY SHOULD A MAN REQUEST A WOMAN TO BEHAVE OR ACT IN A DIFFERENT WAY TO SUIT HIM, WHEN HE HIMSELF OR HIS OWN GENDER IS AT THEIR WORST? And it is not just Girls but also boys all over the World. It started in the UK and the USA 40-50 years ago with the start of pop music and the 60s craze when girls of all ages especially teenagers will literally throw themselves onto famous men and pop stars. This phenomenon is not new. Is is still going on in even advanced countries such as the UK and the USA. Wherever there are men with disposable income and young ladies ready to party, you have sex.
So please stop disgracing our Ghanaian women.
