    Bokor, it "they not being appointed," and not "their not being appointed." Their is a possessive noun, remember that Dr.Bokor and cannot be used in this context...Just a minor oversight on your part, I guess.

    Exactly, many Ghanaians make that mistake. It is akin to saying "His not being appointed". Most people will not use that phrase, they will rather say "He not being appointed" but then get lost when they come to the plural.
