WELL, WE HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO BECAUSE WE HAVE NO TRUE LEADERSHIP. NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON. HOW MANY COUNTRIES WILL ALLOW SUCH NONSENSE?

Bravo, K Badu. Welcome home. This is what majority of posters were talking about. Deal with the issue and leave out the nationalities of those involved in illegal mining in Ghana. I am quite impressed that you have toned down your rhetorics on Chinese nationals. Man GHana is our country let us respect the laws, let our regulators work, let's encourage our people to work hard. Yes education of miners is very important, structured methods very essential. However, I dare say that the involvement of Chinese in small scale mining will not stop! The mining law which gives exclusive right to Ghanaians in small scale mining is silent on whether or not foreigners can be employed by Ghanaians in the business. That is why focusing on Chinese at the beginning of our posts was a non starter.
Good work though.

IT WILL BE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CURB THE ILLEGAL MINING. THE NATIVES ARE PROTECTING THE CHINESE UNFORTUNATELY.

The government should start prosecuting the recalcitrant chiefs who give the lands to the illegal miners.
