I had the same issue with Etroxovi which I wrote under the pen name Abese Kpalikpa, in a rejoinder to an article in the "Daily Graphic" newspaper which read "Let's Stop Trokoshi Forever".
Unfortunately that prompted Ghana's Parliament to make a law outlawing Etrokoshi.
In that rejoinder I explained the difference between Etrokoshi and Etroxovi, the latter would have been the bone of contention.
I stated in that rejoinder which was published by the "Insight" news paper, since "Daily Graphic" newspaper that published the first article refused to publish my rejoinder.
In a similar case as the current one, my late aunt Amegashi was betrodden to her late great granduncle, who was shot dead by some people.
Among Ewhes and Adangbes when a person dies through an unnatural death, like murdered, poisoned, vehicle accident or any other accident the spirit of that person is said to have become a god.
Now to the issue of Etrokoshi and Etroxovi.
Etrokoshi is when a person or couple who did not had a child and consult a god to let them have one.
The names of those children are called Eklu, Eklutse, Ekluxe, Dzatugbui, among others. Nothing prevent those children from becoming members of another religion when they grew up.
Etroxovi is a religious sect where a person who commits murder, theft, rap and other acts which the offended deems to have brought his or her name into disrepute.
The offender is sent a staff from the shrine and told to appear on a particular date to have the matter resolved.
When he or she refused then the matter as I am made to know is given to the shrine to deal with.
A few months after I came to Accra in 1965 a classmate of mine and a junior who were corsins complained of stomach ache collapsed and died.
When the gods were consulted they said a corsin of their stole the property of a family that took the matter before Etroxovi.
It will interest you that their corsin first act of stealing was in the office of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah at the Flagstaff House, for which is appointment was terminated, of which I got to know many years after that incident.
Thus the family of the thief was made to sent a girl to the shrine to pacify the gods. That girl the Etroxovi later graduated as a teacher and has been teaching for many years. She was married to the Etroxovi, but not the priest of the shrine, or I may say was married to the shrine.
I stated in that article that the names of the children of such women or men (kindly note that its on only girls that are sent to the shrine, are named Atsitsogbui, Atsi, Atsiwogbe, among others.
The men and women who are sent of Etroxovi shrine are not allowed to serve any other god, but their children have the right to belong to the religion they chose.
They are also received both formal and informal education.

It looks like the woman who did not had access to education though her mother was a member of the Abeka Roman Catholic Church is not selling pure water on the street at Abeka.
Left to some of our people they will collect arms from the white man and spray some of us because we are black.
