It is our fascination for every daft stuff that emanates from America that is strangling every democratic norm in Ghana. The British, love them or loathe them, left us a very good system. We decided to chuck that into the bin and copy that "Flawed System" that America propagates. In a country, where the likes of Ken Agyapong, Otchere Darko, Wontumi etc have TV and Radio stations to propagate raw unadulterated lies in favour of their political party will never ever succeed. It will be unthinkable for the Chairman of a British political party to own any form of media nor an MP for that matter. I mean, until MPs, Politicians etc are banned from owning any form of mass communication,
am afraid, we will be barking up the wrong tree. In Indonesia, knowing how corrupt their system is, adopted a very pragmatic approach to their democracy. Soldiers, Police and Security Agency Personnel are all banned from voting in general elections. Now, that is called Common Sense, and it works for them.
