Police question Suzzie's boyfriend

A Liberian national identified as Edwin Taylor is being held by the police in connection with the motor accident on Thursday that resulted in the death of 23-year-old actress Suzzie Williams.

Edwin Taylor one of four members of a Liberian singing group, Soul Black is said to have been the other passenger in the car when it somersaulted on the Teshie ?Nungua road near the La Beach Hotel.

Edwin is said to be assisting the police in their investigations into the accident.

The leader of the group, Godwin Williams, is not happy with the police detaining Edwin since he was equally involved in the accident and he had not received any proper medical attention.

Suzzie died in an accident in the early hours of Thursday according to a nurse at the Lister hospital where she received treatment after the accident.

The deceased actress shot to fame in 2003 for her stunning role in the television series Sun City.

She played key roles in other television series and movies including bloody Mary, Tentacles, What Men do, Fresh trouble. Official prostitutes and my mother?s heart.

Meanwhile tributes have started pouring in for the deceased.

Among the mourners who spoke to Joy News were her fellow actors, Adjetey Annan popularly known as Pusher and Fred Amugi who described the death of the young actress as a great loss.

I can?t bring myself to believe that some body I was working with 2 days ago, and then I?m told this errr?said Fred Amugi

Another actor Adjetey Annan said,? Its really a shock to us and all that we can say is may her soul rest in peace and I hope up and coming actresses will take this as a lesson.?
