BBA In Accra Tonight

Ghana's Accra International Conference Centre, would tonight play host to Ghanaians and international celebrities including famous stars from the Big Brother Africa (BBA) in a variety show dubbed "NOVEMBER 2 REMEMBER". The programme, which is being organised by Metro TV, in collaboration with NO1 Productions would bring into action artists like, Ben Brako, Pat Thomas, Kwesi Pee, Rex Gyamfi and other celebrated highlife musicians.

KSM would thrill audience in a 20-minute satiric comedy. BBA housemates due for performance include Cherise (Zambia), the proud winner of BBA, Abby (South Africa), Mwisho (Tanzania), Bayo (Nigeria), Gaetano (Uganda) and Ghana's Sammy B.

The event, under the auspices of MultiChoice Ghana, as part of its 10th Anniversary celebration, is being sponsored by Joy Beauty Soap and co-sponsored by Bomerang Nite Club.

Cherise will feature in "we are the children". Gaetano and Abby in "forgive and forget" remix. Mwisho and Bayo in "money can't buy love". And Sammy in "money and fame."

At a press conference in Accra yesterday, Mr. Talal Fattal, Chief Executive Officer of Metro TV, said the show would bring together celebrities who have excelled in their various fields of endeavour to make the show livelier.

"The gala event will feature a mix of music, theatre and dance and the highlight will be the crowing of Joy Beauty Soap by Cherise."

The Big Brother housemates are expected to lead a number of 50 children to do a music video project on peace.

Cherise and Abby for their first time in the country expressed their profound appreciation towards the hospitality of Ghanaians.

When asked of her experience after the BBA show, cherise acknowledged the fact that, BBA has changed her life from "ordinary person to a model," as most of his young compatriots look up to her as a role model.

She said when she returned from the house, she has been using her status to engage in fundraising programmes for the needy and vulnerable ones, like the disables, orphans etc in Zambia.

Mr. Martin J van Breda, Protocol/Government Liaison, Big Brothe,r said even though people have demonstrated their excitement for the show, it would not be showed next year.

He explained that Big Brother has been run for three consecutive years and it is time for the organizers to sit back and analyse its achievements and improve on it.
