First, he staged the first ever seasonal stage play in Ghana, This Family Is Not For Sale Season 1. Then, he continued with its sequel, This Family Is Not For Sale Season 2. And recently, it was I Want To Sue God!

Kobina Ansah, one of Ghana’s young promising playwrights is set to launch his latest three-cast play, ‘My Wife-In-Law!’ on Facebook on Sunday, 15 May, 2016 at 7pm. The Mirror columnist hinted, “We want to break grounds with this theatre thing. We want to think on our feet. We just want to be creative!”

Though the launch would majorly be on Facebook with the hashtag #MyWifeInLaw, updates will be running concurrently on Instagram and Twitter.

“We want to leverage the power of social media. We want to effectively use it as a tool to communicate our values and more especially, expectations of our current piece,” he explained.

The social media event will feature a discussion segment where theatre lovers will talk about how open a relationship/marriage should be and how far one can discuss issues therein with others.

#MyWifeInLaw tells the story of a couple who face marital issues, like every other family. However, Baaba, discusses them with everyone to the extent of them being used even as sermons in church. Then… she invites her divorcee mother who is “bitter than bitter leaves” and can “snatch husbands at the speed of light” to help solve these marital problems. Would she indeed help solve their problems or worsen them?

Like all Kobina Ansah plays, this piece has many lessons to teach patrons. Tagged “Marriage is for two… not three!” #MyWifeInLaw teaches that whatever happens in a home should stay there unlike sharing it with the world.

#MyWifeInLaw is produced by Scribe Productions.
