Amakye Dede, Meiway rock Accra tonight

All roads in the capital will lead to the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra tonight when highlife King Abrantee Amakye Dede storms the place to perform alongside Ivorian music giant, Freddie Meiway.

Dubbed ‘African Legends Nights’, the much-hyped annual musical event which is expected to be one of the biggest and finest shows ever held in Accra this year, will feature stars like Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Trigmatic and Akosua Agyapong.

Abrantee Amakye Dede in a chat with BEATWAVES has promised to turn the venue upside down with a fantastic performance which has never been witnessed in the country.

He has been in active musical career for close to three decades, but his stature has neither diminished nor has his music dimmed in any way.

Abrantee Amakye Dede has not only got talent as a musician but character as a humble and disciplined performer; a combination that has made him not only a role model, but a powerful magnet that could bring great men and women together.

Frederic Desiré Ehui Meiway, who is known as the Zoblazo Man, rules dance floors all the way across Africa. He has forged his own signature style throughout a career that has spanned almost 15 years.
