EL goes Highlife with Afro Harmony

Ghana’s reigning best rapper, EL, has obviously been busy composing, as his voice has been heard on a new highlife single by award-winning music band Afro Harmony.

The song, ‘Bonor’, literally meaning “Only You”, is part of the group’s upcoming Kente highlife album.

The single will be released today, Friday May 1, as part of activities to commemorate the May Day celebrations in Ghana.

On Thursday night the group and EL did a live recording of the song at Reggie Rockstone’s office in Accra before its release today, Friday.

‘Bonor’ makes the list of songs released by some popular artistes including Samini and Chase Forever who have also released songs this week. While Chase released ‘Party Girl’, Samini crooned ‘Alhaji One.’

EL has in the past weeks been making the headlines. Just last week, he told an Accra-based television, ZTV, that he dated a woman five or six years older than him and that he found nothing wrong with it.

The new highlife song is expected to win him new followers in the coming weeks.
