Watch the Ebola video that left the world's celebrities speechless

The ONE Campaign which brought together celebrities from every corner of the world was officially launched Wednesday August 19 and it is deafening.

The video that left a lot of celebrities like Akon (Senegal) Fally Ipupa (DRC) , Diamond (Tanzania) Angélique Kidjo (Benin), Femi Kuti, Desmond Elliot and Ice Prince (Nigeria); Mafikizolo and T-bo Touch (South Africa), Victoria Kimani (Kenya), Magasco (Cameroon) speechless, is advocating for more people to get onboard the train to fight the Ebola epidemic in West Africa.

In the video, the celebrities are joined by nurses from Sierra Leone. These nurses have worked in isolation centers and have fresh memories of how people died of the virus.

The video, which sees the people in it completely silent, highlights how the world waited while Ebola ravaged West Africa, and how we cannot wait to invest in the health sector to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

It is a reminder that the world’s initial response to the Ebola outbreak was a failure—that global leaders waited too long to act, and over 5,000 paid with their lives as a result.
