Highlight of the 2nd Annual GIAMA - Screen Icon Search (SIS) competition

One of the key goals of the GIAMA organization is not only to recognize, celebrate and reward those that have made it on African big-screens, but to also provide an opportunity for new talents aspiring to become actors as well.

Consequently, the GIAMA Screen Icon Search (SIS) competition was established to identify and recognize young and future talents with the right qualities to get into the Nollywood industry.

The 2nd Annual SIS was hosted by Uti Nwachukwu and Emma Emerson, and was judged by four top Directors/ Producers in the African Movie industry – Emem Isong, Lancelot Imasuen, Frank Rajah and Pascal Atuma.

The latest winner of the competition is the lovely and very talented Anita Chris, while in 2012; Diana Yekini emerged as the Winner of the 1st annual SIS competition. The 2nd and 3rd positions at the 2nd SIS completion were awarded to Stellante Lopez and Thelma Mitchell respectively.

Watch out for Anita, as she has featured in some key roles with top producers in the Nollywood industry, and we will keep you posted once the movies are out.
