Entertainment News Week in Review

The entertainment news world in the week started off with a loss for Ghana in the Africa’s Next Top Model competition, which was a show that combed the whole continent to find Africa’s future model. Ghana’s Roselyn Ashkar lost the opportunity to Uganda’s Aamito.

Still on the topic of beautiful women, actor Adjetey Anang said it’s more convenient and exciting working with female filmmakers as they treat their cast and crew with some decorum and are very understanding.

Would Yvonne Nelson be left alone? She told News-One that she can’t believe people bought into the skin bleaching story since “she is a woman who appreciates her God-given looks and fully understands the dangers of skin bleaching”.

Elikem Kumordzi, who was alleged to have been caught by ex-footballer, Odartey Lamptey, flirting with his wife on three different occasions in their matrimonial home was seen in court during the hearing of the case at the Cocoa Affairs court. Surprising?

The media is yearning for information from Ghanaian actress, Khareema Aguiar, over her alleged love affair with 22-year-old Canada-based Ghanaian midfielder Gershon Koffie. She has neither confirmed nor denied their relationship despite fresh photos of them on social media.

He feared his style of dressing could get him into trouble when he visits the country therefore he won’t go there till the law changes.

Kwabena Kwabena defends his song Adult Musik for fears of it being disqualified at the Ghana Music Awards nominations. He said the song has language children wouldn’t understand and that was craftily done so it should be a contender for the Song of the Year category of the Awards.

The week ended on a sad note as the late Ghanaian actor and movie producer, Eric Asante, who died in December after suffering from cardiac arrest, was buried yesterday.

The grief didn’t end there as Ghana lost its gem at the BBC, Komla Dumor who also died of cardiac arrest in London yesterday at age 41. Another Journalist with Metro TV, Samuel Hesse, also died same day. May their souls rest in peace.
