TUMTUM Music signs Chase

Ghanaian R&B singer, Chase whose single, ‘Tell Me Your Name’ featuring Paedae of R2Bees is one the biggest tunes on rotation on the urban scene has been signed to the new TUMTUM Music management company. According to reliable sources, the singer/songwriter, has been working with the team for a while with his single, “Tell me your name” being released on the label.

TUMTUM Music, C.E.O, Nanaquame Addai, has stated that, plans are far advanced to release the much anticipated debut album of Chase who has been credited with penning songs for the likes of Becca, Mimi and Richie. Chase was formerly signed unto the Lynx Entertainment label and is known to have penned Richie’s hit joint, “When I get u.”

Nanaquame Addai was also known to be the person in charge of all of Lynx Entertainment’s Public Relations until sometime back; though he insists that there can never be any negative relationship between himself and Lynx Entertainment. Reacting on the rumors, he stated, “We are a family, we grew up going to the same school and Richie’s mum is more than a mother to me, so it is family. There can never be beef. I left Lynx Entertainment so that my company could concentrate fully on the MIMI project back then; thus it was purely based on business grounds and nothing else.”

He however declined to comment on the circumstances that may have influenced Chase’s exit from the Lynx Entertainment. According to Chase, his decision to leave Lynx Entertainment was one based purely on his desire to pursue a different career path and insists that there remains a very cordial relationship between him and the rest of the Lynx Family.

Tumtum Music evolved from the Tumtum Communications Group, which is known to have handled Public Relations for the like of Mimi and the Lynx Entertainment. Having chalked tremendous success in this area, the company decided to build the Tumtum Music label to go into full artiste career management and development.

Obed Boafo, Head of Public Relations, believes that the company is poised to become one of the most successful brands in the business in no time, due to the caliber of artistes that they are looking to develop and expose to the whole African Continent.

Already they burgeoning label is beginning to make waves in many places with the signing of Chase and rumors are rife that ace rapper, Kwaku T, who was recently voted the 4th most eligible bachelor in Africa, may also be on his way to signing for the label.

Meanwhile, Chase is working hard on his album with the music video for “Tell me ur name” set to be shot real soon. Details of the album launch will be released later.
