Eleanor Kitcher Matures

The name Eleanor Kitcher may not sound familiar in musical circles but the decision she took some years back, to wait till she matures, has earned her the grand start in the release of her first album Thank You Lord.

The 10-track album, which through hard work and toil has been successful and enjoying airplay in the homes of many Ghanaians, opens with Ayeyi Se No.

It comes with a jama beat and the instrumentation flows orderly, mixes harmoniously that it becomes difficult to resist dancing to this particular track.

This song calls on society to be appreciative and grateful to their maker. Adanfo Pa, which is a combination of Twi and English talks about friendship and how well it should be handled.

Eleanor sings very well in Twi with her Fante raps rhyming through.

Another favorite track which equally receives airplay is Come With Me. This track comes in two versions, it starts with a prayer and then the song it self. This particular track talks about unity.

Thank You Lord which is the title track has soul touching and inspirational messages.

The song is in English and Twi versions, its beat is as good as the message in the lyrics and this track is much suited for wedding, naming ceremonies and all other happy occasion in one?s life.

In an interview, Eleanor said she has a good Christian background and had been inspired by the praises team of her church to become a singer when she was 10 years old.

I joined the praises group and any time I sang, people were elated and went home satisfied and their problems solved. ?This was how I realised my God given talent,? she added.

Eleanor mentions Pastor Alex Kwablati of City Hall Crown Chapel as the one who has been very inspirational to the success of her album.

The pastor provided all the encouragement and support I needed come out with this album.

Her advise for gospel musicians is to strive hard to get to their target. To her she sees gospel music as a whole ministry and a calling from God, so all involved should endeavor to be prayerful.

Eleanor who is a native of Ada Foah in the Greater Accra Region was born to Mr and Mrs Kitcher some 26 years ago.

She is a product of Adabraka Presby School and Winneba Secondary School. Eleanor is an interior decorator by profession.
