Rocky Dawuni nominated for "Best World Music Artist 2003"

Rocky Dawuni Rocky Dawuni was nominated by LA Weekly Music for the "Best World Artist" for the 2003.

Also nominated from Ghana was Gyedu Blay Ambolley. The nominees were chosen on the basis of quality, regardless of commercial success or relative obscurity. Other emerging artists chosen include Pejman Hadadi Najite and Olokun Prophecy Adam.

The LA Weekly Music Awards was held on June 26th at the John Anson Ford Theatre in Hollywood. Rocky Dawuni peformed live as part of the Verizon Music Festival at Temple Bar alongside LA Weekly Music Award's
